Seems very strange to treat the hero of humanity in such a matter. Hunting him down? There would be no future for humanity if it weren’t for the heroes who went to the Ark in Halo 3.
No one is above reproach. A shining example of humanity in the 26th century like the Master Chief still needs to be answerable to those he serves and protects. Like every person in uniform John-117 is an ambassador for his people and a representative of his government. This emissary from Earth just so happens to be a supersoldier clad in advanced battle armor with an arsenal that would make an American blush.

Not sure how this answered my question?

The Master Chief is not better than anyone else, he is certainly not answerable to no one, and whatever happens, his fault or not, he must take responsibility and move on. Yes, he’s saved the galaxy now on multiple occasions and everyone appreciates that. That doesn’t mean he can do whatever he pleases while he wears the uniform of a Spartan.

What is he being accused of?
I suspect he would be concerned, not only with the Chief’s actions but also with his well-being. He knows of all the classified ops that the Chief went on and knows the toll that would have. Hood knows from Arcadia the burden of making a mistake and not following orders as well.
Considering Terrance Hood was quite angry at him for disobeying his orders to get R&R at the end of the next 72 hours story arc. And the fact Locke says. “He’s gone AWOL and the UNSC want him back im going to bring him home.” Why does everyone assume Locke is going to kill John? Locke will only use force if John doesn’t cooperate. Locke gave a Zealot in Nightfall with a bio weapon a chance to surrender. And Locke even said he’s going to hear John out. “If he has left the fold he has his reasons.” “I’m sure he does Arbiter i intend to find out what they are.”
Lord Hood currently likes that 343 are focusing on a level playing field and ensuring that there’s a skill gap, but he’s a little wary of features such as Spartan abilities and Sprint. He thinks that halo 5 will exceed Halo 4 and Halo: Reach, but it won’t live up to the glory days of Halo 2 and Halo 3. He’s also a little disappointed that he hasn’t been confirmed to appear in Halo 5 yet. He got really angry when Serin Osman had a role in Halo 4’s Spartan Ops and he didn’t.
Oh, I guess that’s not what you meant.

The UNSC chose to replace Lord Hood with Admiral Serin Osman after the old guy was criticized for not taking care of his skin. Corpsmen warned the aging fleet admiral in Halo 3 that his skin was so unattractive that invading Flood infection forms in Africa filed official complaints against him. Coincidentally, Earth was saved not because of Hood’s leadership, but by the Flood’s fear of dry skin and clogged pores.

He is now literally all leather.
He surely isn’t preordering it. He’s angry because lack of split screen and says he will only buy it for multiplayer and not for campaign.
Hood doubted the viability of the Ark mission in the first place, even if he turned out to be wrong. All chief had done at that point didn’t seem to have much effect on him, as it took chief + the entire room saying “the ark is our only hope” to let him begrudgingly accept.
10/10. Stunning
Lord Hood
I dunno if we’ll see Lord Hood in Halo 5. Ron Perlman’s probably too busy trying to get Hellboy 3 off the ground.
He thinks if there is no Chips Dubbo then this game will be a failure; look at Halo 4. We need more Chips
That and how he is going to to play with Serin Osman now that there is no split screen.
10/10 Pure excitement
