What does Halo 6 need?

Here’s what I Personally think Halo 6 needs in order to live up to the standards of a Halo game.

  • Of course a great soundtrack, I have yet to be disappointed in a Halo soundtrack, even though Halo 4’s was different, it was still really good. - A bigger focus on Arena multiplayer maps at launch - More Multiplayer game modes/ game types at launch (Infection, Oddball, Infection, etc.) - A longer, engaging story for the fans, Halo 5’s story felt VERY hollow and we had little to no personal connection to the new characters, Master Chief took a step back in terms of being a more “humanized” character, which was a goal in Halo 4’s campaign - SOLID ENDING, Listen, I would’ve been fine with Halo 5’s ending… If the game EARNED it!!! but it didn’t, the ending of Halo 5 should’ve been the climax of the game. If Halo 6 is really going to be the end of Master Chief, they need to end the game respectfully and open up a great game for Locke. - SPLITSCREEN, Sacrificing a HUGE component of Halo as a whole for 60fps is one of the dumbest things that could’ve been done with Halo 5, there’s nothing like splitscreen - A good art style like Halo 3, I’m tired of every map looking like a bunch of blocks made of white Plado and shiny plastic with UNCS stickers on them (the majority of Halo 5’s maps so far)What do you want in Halo 6?

Splitscreen. I don’t think the 60 fps and graphics sacrifice was worth it.

My list:
A easier to understand story.
Offline modes.
MP elites.
Campaign theater.
Split screen.

  1. Campaign that “wows” us and makes us understand why they did what they did in H5
  2. Lots of multiplayer maps
  3. Consistent playlists (none of this 2v2 one week, then snipers the next, etc.)
  4. Split screen
  5. Campaign commendations

Splitscreen is a must

60 FPS is definitely worth it, as are the graphics.

But both can be reasonably scaled down to accommodate it (Shadows, Ambient Occlusion being turned off, resolution being dynamically reduced depending on the action on every screen), the only reason that Halo 5 couldn’t do it technically was because of the game being dependent on the 60 FPS for physics (And these physics are fairly incredible and spot on, to be fair), but there is always another solution for that.

Maybe 343i can use DirectX 12 with Halo 6, too. They would be able to make a few less sacrifices, considering that they had to work with DirectX 11 and Halo 5.

100% agreed m8

Ye, I’m glad people are standing with me on the splitscreen argument.
