i think 343i messed up very early on with changing Master Cheifs armor and making it look like it was always there. And to make matters worse they killed Cortana (think that could have actually been a good plot device) and then brought her back, losing our trust.
And now they have gone and done Halo 5.
So I think fix this by a) making this Halo game as classic as possible but show it as the Master Cheif grieving and becoming a complete destroyer because he feels like Cortana was his fault. I also think he should think he is the one to do so and in the end I think Cortana should die saving Cheif.
I think b) they should show trailers of Cheif grieving and kicking some Covy -Yoink-. I think they need to show epic trailers and have them deliver. They should also have a good story.
And finally I think they should kill the promethians in this game and make one last one where they have now (possibly) gains our trust again, so it can be like Halo 3 hype again. I think they should end the war and leave it so we know that this is the end. They should Cheif in one final act with him saving humanity and end it with his (and Cortanas) momorial reminding us of our seven game Halo journey.
I don’t know maybe I just made you all mad but that is my thoughts.

I’d rather they make Master Chief the silent protagonist again where he only talks in cutscenes. They should also add more blood and enviroment destruction. I also hope they return to the classic Halo gameplay.
