What do you want the next forge "Canvas" to be?

A desert similar to Sandbox? Another warehouse like Foundry? Or another grey scale ring like Forge Worlds? Maybe something Urban? I don’t know, I think I’d like another desert themed canvas, the pieces just worked really well and didn’t look as… bland as the pieces in Reach. The only problem is that I do like having water to work with. Ah well, what do you guys want?

i would like a canvas with a bit of everything, island, desert, indoors, snow some variation

no canvas, just maps and leave the blue and grey alone…

lots of maps

I think there should be changeable scenery. Basically the same map, different skins.

Imagine Timberland/Ridgeline with no trees or rocks. Now imagine each hill was a white mound of snow. Or hills of sand.

Dunno. Doesn’t seem like it’d be too hard to do, but hey, I don’t make games.

UNSC theme

You should choose your own terrain.
and then filter how many cliffs/hills you want in it, then work away from there.

oh yesss please <3

It would be cool to see a desert like canvas like sandtrap. But I also would enjoy a more snow like map. Many things I would like, can’t please everyone though.
Also city like.

I’d love a real canvas. Like one where both the environment AND the objects are mine to control.

Das Kalk’s got the right idea. Either varied environments or controllable environments (adding weather effects, messing with the terrain, changing the time of day) would add a new creative edge to the community-made maps. What could expand on that is if they added the flashlight/nightvision for use in darker maps.

There’s also the issue of bland gray Forerunner structures. I want more, variations, UNSC, Covenant themed stuff, anything. Vehicles and weapons not present in the campaign, I want forge to have the amount of possibilities that it should

Community maps will end up varied and maybe even more unique than they are now if a huge amount of items, weapons, vehicles and the like are added, combined with controllable terrain and skybox would make for the perfect experience, even if Halo 4’s multiplayer as a whole, or even just Forge mode is on a separate disk.

Now that sounds like a real forge idea.

A barren plain that uses my skin-changing idea

not a sea of grey. forge world would have been fine if there where more textures and architecture to use.

Maps that have these environments or one big giant map that has them:
-Artic.
-Country.
-Desert.
-Destroyed City.
-Forest.
-Island.
-Jungle.
-Marsh.
-Ocean.
-Prairie.
-Tundra.

How about instead of a map to build forge maps on they just let us you know, make our own maps and have different themes in the map creator?

i would like to see more controles in forge like doors that open and close and light briges the you can activate more ( living ) object insted of just boxes and wall’s

Completely blank.

For a map editor.

How about something not unlike the maw in cea’s appearance, but with a gigantic oasis in the middle and…the POA on it’s rocky mountain! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

a choice of environments plus colour schemes and/or skin’s for the building blocks
