what do you want infection to be like?

please discuss your ideas of what you think infection should be like without flaming people who contest your opinion.

I think that no matter what infection is like in halo 4, humans need to be at a serious disadvantage.

Like Halo Reach. I want it to be it’s own separate playlist.

Make it where the Infection playlist does not affect your K/D, and W/L ratio.

Like you I want the Humans to be at a disadvantage.

Make the Zombies harder to kill.

You can pick ammo off of dead teammates.

I want to have maps that are built for Infection. I hate how they use maps that are made for slayer, and what not.

I would like a survival gametype, and map. The humans start out with the weakest weapon like a pistol. In order to get more powerful weapons they have to look around the map for them.

If you have a full lobby. Make it where everybody starts off as the Zombie at least once. In Reach it was limited that. I can be in a full lobby, but I was spawning as the Zombie for all 4 rounds.

I want a couple if quality base gametypes, one of which has to be like L4D in Halo 3, damn that was fun.

If not custom maps, then at least a custom filter that gives a map that zombie feel. And I’m talking about something more than a green tint.

Well since I don’t flame people but people love to flame my forums it got locked all well. My opinion still stands it needs to be like Halo 2. No shields added, no TK, trying to make Humans = to Zombies. It should take skill when you are in a small group and then when enlarge you swarm the enemy like a flood. and the people selected for zombie are the ones that one and it needs to be 16 player. trying to chance it to the Halo 3 and Halo reach really lost its popularity when they tried to make zombies equalled to humans

Back to basics, Halo 3 infection, no over powered pistol, just a shotgun and possibly Pistol pickups on the map with limited Ammo.

Excessive customization options so we can make it however we want it.

nope.

I would like a mission based multiplayer infection game like left 4 dead wipe the other team before they reach the safe point but in order to reach the safe point the have to go through vast obstacles and again i would like it to be like Left 4 dead in the fact that it doesnt spawn you as a human skinned player… when your the “infected” spawn the infected player as one of the many flood forms starting from the carrier, Infection form. battle form i dont want it to be like left 4 dead though i just mean spawn us as different flood forms… having all the secondary attacks as scartch. and the primary is equipped weapon except for the carrier and infection forms carriers primary would be explode and the infection forms primary would be cling and infect… all infected players have the chance to infect humans by killing them… i think it sounds like a pretty cool idea!

truth is I forgot the reason and couldn’t think of anything, my train of thought derailed violently; think all the passengers died. I like bunnies!

In this thread I have some ideas I hope to see in Halo 4!

My top 3 things I like to do most in Halo is

1 Custom games

2 Infection

3 Forge Mode

  • Special build Forge maps. Mazes, Haunted Houses, Tower of Power, and such.
    Not just regular maps with a few extra crates and blocks placed at random spots, but maps build specifically for Infection so they are optimal for the gametype.

  • Flood skins for Zombies

  • A weapon/ammo crate being dropped at a random spot (away from the typical camping places), so that people are inclined to leave their comfort zones to get some extra ammo to hold out longer. Maybe even include the dropping of a single power weapon in the last minute of the last round.

  • Longer rounds

  • No more AA’s (no more Sprint etc), just make Zombies move around faster, jump higher etc.

  • More of the creepy atmospheric effects the newer Infection maps have.

  • Maybe include a version where there is 3-step progress through the level. Like 2 gates that are placed in the map which open at 1:30m and 3:00 respectively. So that the places where you have to hold out first are smaller and more intense until you get to better places to hold your ground.

I say go back to the times of Halo 2 or 3 infection

Just for it to be a much more scary experience overall.

Infection should be like an 8 track player. “They still have that?”

I can’t stand infection, so I could care less.

I would like it to be like halo 3

On either side, you need teamwork to win. Like L4D. None of this “Last man standing” crap.

I want different forms of Flood as playable characters.
