I really like halo’s multiplayer, but their is one thing I want in halo 4’s multiplayer! In the slayer playlists, it gets kind of old just shooting each other over and over. Don’t get me wrong I love halo a lot, but I think 343 should put in some kind of killstreak like in the Call of Duty games. I don’t want them to make it too much like Call of Duty, because halo is so much better. I don’t know how they would do the killstreaks, that’s up to 343 industries, but lets just say it was off of how much kills you got. Like in CoD how you can get helicopters to come and stuff like that halo should have that too. Here are some examples: For the UNSC killstreaks, (bigger ones will require more kills) they could have a pelican drop weapons and vehicles for them, and maybe even marines if somehow we could get bots onto matchmaking. You could call in drop pods to a certain area of the map and ODST troops would help you out. Have a UNSC frigate fire MAC rounds on the Covenant. They could have drop pods for you if you get that killstreak so that you can choose were you spawn, because you’ll be in a frigate overhead and then you get in the drop pod and it will go land where you want it. You should be able to call in a carpet bombing and longswords come in and bomb the area you want. Obviously there are more that the UNSC could have but that’s all I can think of right now. Here are some examples for killstreaks for the Covenant: They could call in a scarab that they could drive and the spartans would have to take it down. They can call in a phantom to bring weapons, vehicles, troops, and to attack the enenmy team like the pelican. They could have a cruiser come and glass the area only hurting the UNSC. They could have drop pods as well. They could call in a brute chieftain or a strong bot to help them out, or they could even become the brute chieftain. Those are my examples and I think that this would be very fun! They should make a playlist out of it, and it’s like slayer but one team are the UNSC and the other team is the Covenant. Tell me what you think? Thanks!
I want kick–Yoink- fun.
No. Halo is one of the few games out there where you can only rely on skill, not killstreaks. Halo should stay the way it is, with just a few pickups here and there. CoD games are always blowouts because of killstreaks. I’m not saying CoD is a bad franchise, it’s just that Halo shouldn’t try to use some of the concepts it uses in multiplayer, it would ruin the game entirely.
I think this would be a good addition for Invasion, but not for other general playlists. Keep those the same. Also inb4 this isn’t call of duty flamers.

Consistency, skill and no gimmicky effects.
Killstreaks would only work effectively in Invasion and Firefight in my mind. In invasion what i was actually just thinking that int he Halo play scheme of team work; A global team kill counter that could reward out items to the team. Hit a certain amount of kills and a Pelican could come down for the Spartans and deploy A warthog. Or maybe even tweak it to be kills or points for the objective you are going after.
Ai bots would be tricky, but it could add a bit of credence to the Invasion setting. What would fit best for me, WOuld be the deployment of Grunts and Marines. Marines stronger as indivudals; maybe four or so. Compared to the grunts, weaker as individuals; but threatening in mass. They would need to be coded to follow the Spartans/Elites like they are their commanding officer. They would however, need to have the same ammo constraints as players on the field. And probably take some manner of Moral ‘damage’ when the Spartan/Elite they are following dies. Something that would hinder their effectiveness when Alone.
Overall though, Invasion team ‘killstreaks’ and Ai inclusion would require clever coding and balance work.
I would love to be deployed into the Playing field via Pelican/Phantom. On a system where the opposing team could shoot the craft down; Effecting their spawn zone’s position. If they fail, a preset spot. But that’s maybe because I think it would be awesome to be strapped into a Pelican, with no idea of what is happening and hear Boom* followed by a rough crash landing. Or set the game to start like that for a map, So there was an intended LZ but you end up in the low ground as attackers to hoof your way to the point.
Night time maps would be nice, With the option of employing say, Visr mode; Night vision; or even just mounting a flashlight on your gun and bumbling around in the dark on your Invasion Op. I dont’ mean a flashlight like BF3, just like the Halo 3 campaign light.
The Ability to play as ODST’s would be amazing in my opinion.

I see what you’re saying and I agree with you completely, halo plays very well, and like you said you can only rely on skill. Maybe if they made a playlist for it. I just think is would be interesting to play. I mean I love the halo universe and I would be disappointed if they messed it up, but I think it would be fun to see a cruiser come in and glass the enemy. It’s just an idea that’s all.

I stopped reading when he mentioned wanting killstreaks.
Yeah I agree being deployed through a pelican/phantom would be really cool! I want the multiplayer maps to be huge and I would like to also see being dropped in a drop pod when the game starts. I’ve always wanted to be able to use a drop pod ever since halo 2 introduced them. I like Ivar7 ideas about invasion. I like the playlist a lot. In halo 4 I want the invasion maps to be a lot bigger, and what if you could call in a mobile base like the ones in halo wars when you took over a section of the place you are invading.
New weapons to mix up the sandbox, New armour abilities, and some new vehicles.
