No Halo 5 on the MCC, give Halo 5 Guardians a PROPER PC port so NOTHING is stripped down for any reason!

I came here to touch on this as well.
I’d really appreciate if the remaining armor assets made it to the pool, especially the elites.
It’d be nice if the rest of the Online maps and even weapon assets and things were at least made available to use in modded maps, like the prerelease CE assets.

yeah, it would be nice to have some form of access to most of the stuff from halo online, even if it is just through mods. having never played halo online, it would be really nice to be able to play on its maps and use its armor in some official capacity.

The bot feature in Halo Infinite is awesome and I too would love to see this implemented into MCC.

Luckily, the mod community will, sooner or later, implement bots in every game in the collection. I just hope they work alongside the devs to bring it to Xbox once they’ve finished!

You’re probably right on this one. Such a great implementation and hopefully it comes soon! I’d play more Halo MCC if I could run bot games. :slight_smile:

Low population → Cant play the playlists you want to play without being in custom games.
Changes in gaming → Lots of games now are catering to a single player experience in a multiplayer game, no social features no interactions etc.

Firefight was always a great stress reliever.

A lot of it boils down to “Infinite has it, why doesnt MCC”.

(Kinda of a small one compared to other things, but still!) I want to be able to see what/where my emblem is going to be/look when customizing my armor.

I was today years old when I discovered the Waypoint forums are shutting down. Wowzers.
So I guess I’ll bring back some suggestions, and a few pipe-dreams as a last hoorah.

Global:

  • General stability fixes across the board.
  • An overhaul to the Mission / Map / Gametype select menus with a legacy inspired, vertically oriented layout that would better facilitate user generated content.

  • Crossplay support for remaining Campaigns and SpOps.
  • Splitscreen support on PC (If only one thing on this list makes it, let it be this)
  • Make cutscene skip a universal input, as others have suggested.
  • Custom / player created Campaign Playlists.
  • Ability to disable post match player lineup.
  • A Reach style sidebar in lobbies to showcase player models and stats.
  • Increase to capacity of player’s file shares.
  • Support for bots in custom games.
  • Support for Modded servers in the Customs Browser.

Halo Reach:

  • Fix the Falling animation bug when on rising platforms (elevators, roofs of dropships, etc.)
  • Alter customisation models to better reflect their in-game appearance:
    (Mark V [b] brim, Assault/ Commando rear pouch, etc.]
  • Modular customization for Elites.
  • Starting vehicle option for Firefight.
  • AI Ally support on remaining Firefight missions, similar to the ODSTs on Installation 04.
  • Drones selectable in Firefight wave options.

Halo CE: Anniversary:

  • 4 Player co-op
  • Acrophobia Skull

Halo 2: Anniversary:

  • 4 Player co-op
  • Separate Anniversary visuals and audio, like CE:A.
  • Cross port content from Halo 4 to Halo 2: Anniversary Forge, the Broadsword, Pelican, etc.
  • Port some Halo 4 maps to fill out the roster, Ragnarok and Pitfall would fit perfectly.

Halo 3:

  • Cross port content from ODST to Halo 3 Forge, Oliphant, Stationary Turrets, NMPD Pelican, etc.
  • Port remaining maps from Halo: Online such as Reactor and Skybridge (Diamondback doesn’t matter as much given it’s just a palette swap of Avalanche)

ODST:

  • H3 Magnum and SMG in starting weapon options.

Halo 4:

  • Cross port content from Halo 2: Anniversary to Halo 4 Forge, the Hornet, Gungoose, etc.
  • Finish the cut ‘Revenant’ and implement in Forge.

Menu backgrounds don’t save.
Framerate drops in Halo CE anniversary and Halo 2 anniversary.
Audio effects missing and getting muffled in Halo CE and Halo 2 Anniversary graphics mode.

Perfect Dark had bots 23 years ago, it’d be nice if Halo had them too, especially as the population drops off.

Halo 3: ODST

  • Stealth Elites restored as enemies, given the Commando Harness, and added to the wave selection for Firefight (both Minors and Majors were in the files for Halo 3 and went unused)
  • Spec Ops Grunts restored as allies and added to the Night Time Floodfight Boons to support existing Spec Ops Elites (were in the files for Halo 3 and went unused outside of being a reference render for a single 10th anniversary Mcfarlane Toys Figure; VA currently works at Microsoft and hopefully could possibly be asked to add new dialogue for this)
  • Brute Trackers restored to fill the Brute Sniper rank and added to Firefight (were in the files for Halo 3 but went unused as Ultras were used instead; would make for an interesting wave visually and functionally)
  • SGT Stacker added as a playable ODST in Firefight using the H2A helmet design (has fully fleshed out Firefight dialogue, and ties the A Day At The Beach cutscene from Halo 2 into ODST, could also just use the Hornet Pilot Helmet and Chest for simplicity if the H2A one is too awkward.)
  • Elite Ultra’s restored for standard Elite waves in Firefight (existed during development but was mostly Cut from Halo 3 outside of Rtas; necessary rank to improve Elite variety. Briefly experimented with during the flights)
  • Elite Zealot’s restored as an Elite Boss wave in Firefight (existed during development but was cut from Halo 3 entirely; would add much needed variety to boss waves in general since they would fill the same role as Generals do for Halo Reach, and could possibly be supplemented by the restored Stealth Elites)
  • Modify Heretic Elites to have their helmets off, and use no shoulders and no chest attachment (similar to Cut Honor Guard and Chancellor ranks briefly carried over from Halo 2 during development)
  • 3rd Person Skull cleaned up and restored (mostly functional in legacy but inaccessible)

Reach
(worth noting I haven’t checked the next few to see if these were added with the mod-tool update)

  • Drones restored as enemies in Firefight (supposedly set up within the files, just disabled)
  • Player Elite Assassinations against NPC/AI ODST’s restored (cut originally as ODST’s were not added until I04 was released)
  • ODST NPC/AI boons as a setting on all maps, not just a default setting for I04
  • Squad System from Campaign implemented for ODST NPC’s (even if its only for singleplayer firefight, it would be a nice QoL improvement)
