What do you want?
Voted, classic
Classic, let me drop the flag either to use my power weapons or to give it to a player who isn’t very good at killing the other team. I threw up a little when I saw people voted for flagnum and flagnum with sprint.
Classic, if you want a kill while carrying the flag you use the flag.
Back to normal.
Flagnum was limited.
Classic all the way.
If we have to have flagnum at least let us drop the flag when we need to. I still can’t believe no flag dropping was ever a thing.
Could care less about the flagnum, but I think it would be beneficial to have some of the new movement mechanics whilst carrying the flag. Not Sprint or pound, but if thrust and hover jump, as well as slide, but that’s tied to sprint, could be added I think it would be good. Help people feel less powerless whilst carrying.
I wish the magnum was as powerful as the flagnum.
No surprise that Waypoint voted for classic.
First of all, I want TEAM PLAY! with tactic, and exciting gameplay! I want a normal match where, even if my team lose I can laugh at the end because of its though gameplay.
Of course I voted for classic but I like the flag on the back… idea.
for me, flag on the back and full movement and guns… for those of us that like to play with no team. it also seems like it would make the game go by a little faster…

That is perfectly logical, I never thought of that. My only issue is you are literally just to slow and, therefore, vulnerable without any movement mechanics.
Where’s the option for classic with thrusters/hover? They have a cooldown, and with other players able to sprint, they would be a useful alternative to the true classic of slow movement.
Hated the idea of the flagnum though - didn’t play any CTF in Halo 4 til MCC (since I only had live for a short time during 4’s run), and it surprised me. I only liked having the weapon in my hand because it was when uneven teams/rampant quitters were still frequent.
If there’s one thing I miss from halo 2 and 3 it’s Ctf the flagnum single handedly destroyed all of the teamwork it took to coordinate moving a flag from base A to base B. How are players supposed to learn how to coordinate properly when all they have to do is sprint into the middle of the map touch the flag and shoot everything in aight die and do it again? Answer they aren’t going to learn you couldn’t lone wolf a ctf game in halo 2 or 3 it’s an objective gametype but In halo 4 it was the complete opposite trying to coordinate a plan and XXxHardcoreHloplayerXXx keeps suicide running the flag and as a result getting us all killed. The flagnum is cool and all but please keep it as a custom game option.
I would’ve voted to have all the movements minus the ones designed for killing (EX: Charge, Ground Pound). Afterwards either sprint or a flagnum (Not both) would be able to allow minimum survival with the flag, and therefore, be balanced.

That also would be an awesome Idea
Honestly, I’m 50/50 on this. I thoroughly enjoyed the tactical implications of a flag carrier not using a weapon, moving slower, and being off radar. But I remember how much un-fun it could be to be that flag carrier, often sitting around hiding for a ride, or getting blasted and moving at a snail pace. So I also enjoyed the Halo 4 variant with magnums and better movement.
My ideal balance is the classic slow movement, no UI indicator, able to drop the flag mechanics, but keep the flag carrier magnum.

it’s not as if in game in H4 CTF was any more popular than it was before.
Flagnum isn’t inherently terribly. But auto flag pick up and being unable to drop the flag is.
I really liked the Flagnum, although I wish it’s magazine size was slightly larger. (I don’t mind about the commitment to holding the flag)
No movement options for the flag holder too.
I want it as the primary game type in a team objective playlist I don’t care how it plays as long as I get team objective
