Now that the Master Chief is a Jedi. What’s going to happen?
Do you think he’ll go in Energy Sword battles with the Elites?
Did the UNSC execute order 77? (Got rid of the Spartans and Chief is hiding from them)
Is he trying to bring balance to humanity?
I think he’s on the Ark looking for something to bring Cortana back, you know? even if it does mean it’s a new one.
MY take on the new plot is that Chief is off on his own either on one of the Arks, or Sanghelios the elite home world doing who knows what trying to fix or replace Cortana, while off in the galaxy whats left of covenant are still picking up pieces of relics while what has split off from them is redeeming their home worlds. The biggest thing that’s going on is most likely the war effort to hold back the Flood which is doomed to fail because not even the Forerunners or old Human civilizations in all their might could stop the flood from spanning the galaxy. AKA future main antagonist. If you have seen the E3 Halo Guardians trailer the Arbiter talks about how they need to find Chief because “The keys to the future lie buried in the seeds of his (Chiefs) past”. Now this is not an exact quote seeing as I took it from memory however It should be relatively close. So the trailer said it all for me. Because of what the Librarian said in Halo 4 we know that the chief has DNA from his ancestors that was placed there by the Librarian. DNA that was from humans that lived during the Human Forerunner wars before the first firing of the Halo. The humans from that Era had found a way to combat the flood through genetics. My assumption is that they need to find chief for that reason or something else to do with his genes.
There are some problems with my own theory such as I don’t know how the UNSC would know about chiefs genetics and I don’t think they would have any luck getting a way to combat the flood from his genetics because the Forerunners couldn’t find it and they had much more to work with, plus only the Forerunners would remember the cure. The second problem is that if they solved the problem with the Flood so easily then they wont be able to move on with the halo series and I definitely don’t want that.
Anyways I figured you might like to get someones take on the story so there it is.
I think the plot will be overly simplified because with halo 4, 343i might think that people can’t handle complex stories, when it’s the quality of the storytelling that’s in cause of people not understanding. While I think the flood might return, I feel like it’s going to feel hollow.
