If you watched the spark-cast or watched the video where they highlighted the useful information of Halo: 4, you would have seen/heard the part of a new Game mode coming within the game. We already Have, Campaign, Matchmaking, Forge, Custom Games, Theater, and Firefight. The only question that remains is, “What else could this game mode be?”
I really, really want to here your thoughts because it can, and will keep me hyped up for Halo: 4. And i will try my best to find the link to the highlight video of the info i saw.
Here is the link to the useful thread where i found the link to the video.
Whatever it is, I just pray to god that it’s not Kinect releated.
But if I had to guess I would say that it’s some sort of flood vs forerunner gametype.

I doubt they’d make a whole mode exclusive to Kinect, even Microsoft would know how badly that’d go down.

But the reason im worried is that the main audience that isn’t buying into the Kinect gimmick is mainly the shooter fanbase which makes up a large majority of live users and Halo 4 would be a perfect oppertunity for Microsoft to try to force the Kinect onto the shooter fanbase by making a gametype that requires Kinect. So it would probably end terribly and I hope it doesn’t happen but in the back of my mind I know that there’s a slight chance that they might.

There is a slight chance but it’s very slight. If anything, it’ll probably be like CEA. A small, Kinect exclusive addition. If they do add a whole game mode, I think they’ll face some serious disappointment. It’ll more likely turn players away rather than encourage sales of Kinect.
If it’s small, it’ll just be something on the level of Invasion – a new Megalo script or something.
If it’s big… Custom Campaign scenarios, complete with triggers and pathing meshes? Hell, they might not even have to do as much; Reach alone is already 60% of the way to having a trigger system like StarCraft’s (Hill Markers = Locations, for example), which in turn is 90% of the way to what we’d need for a complete Campaign-creating toolset.
If we’re lucky it’ll be Mega Team Battle featuring 16vs16 gameplay. Halo is so suited to large scale gameplay it’s crazy, it needs to be capitalised on further.
In terms of content, Halo Reach has more than any other console fps. I have no idea what else could be added unless they were talking about a new gametype.
