Custom Challenges + Firefight

set an incredibly high, but possible, custom challenge in Firefight then just play. It has a bigger payout then normal MP, and Commendations go up fast so you will get that little extra cR bonus. And please don’t AFK, they ban you for that.

There’s a way to cheat on campaign. At the beginning of the level ONI: Sword Base go up to the deck where the Elite is, kill him and then run past all the enemies. Once you get to the place where the Target Locator is, grab it and wait until it says “checkpoint”. Then unload on the Covenant troops. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Just a head’s up. Don’t do it to much otherwise, well you know… :stuck_out_tongue:

You can’t get banned for this, because technically you are not doing anything wrong. You are using something that is in the game, and not modding in any way. Both Bungie and 343 confirmed this. If you couldn’t use this method, 343 would never have made the custom challenges it the first place.
How do you think a lot of the people who use the custom challenges rank up so fast? They set the challenges and use this method.

Pretty much this.

FireFight, daily challenges and custom challenges will do the trick fairly fast. But you should do things you enjoy otherwise you can burnout.

I’ll agree up to a point. Look at the custom challenges and make some customs to go along with them, and bust those out. There are tricks to knowing what to play - SWAT for Head-shot or Small Arms in multi-player match-making for example.

Whether you play Campaign, MM, or FF and what flavor after that should be something you enjoy.

I don’t typically do the whole Target locator over and over thing, but I will 'jack a wraith and shoot Phantoms all day - whatever floats your boat.

Custom Challenges do not work with FireFight when you use a 2nd controller. I know I’ve tried quite a few times but it didn’t work. Apparently you have to get all the kills with the guest controller when playing FF Doubles. Otherwise it won’t count towards to the custom challenges. Now I’m sure about the other types of playlists in FireFight since I just play in FF Doubles.

My recommendation is to set a goal and go for it. Also make sure you keep track of your progres for yourself incase something happens. I keep one for myself. I’ve learned that, since the game was released, I did not receive over a 100,000 cR.
