I honstley hate it. It’s just not halo reach. People spam with an OP pistol, Grenades and 1 shot take no skill.
I just don’t like it.
What are your thought?

I don’t like it either. 85% is the best for Bloom IMO.
> I don’t like it either. 85% is the best for Bloom IMO.
I know. That is why I play the TU beta. But I hate it when I get the zb playlist.
I’m guessing you don’t have Halo CEA than.
I think you are wrong, there is a portion of the Halo community that want those settings and now they have them in their own playlist. This gave the portion of the population that wanted those changes a playlist, what would be wrong is to apply what has changed in that playlist to all of Reach. Because apparently, judging from the numbers in the TU playlist, very few people care or have tried it and just plain dont like it. That happens though when you take a game thats been out for a year and was not intended to have those settings on the guns, not that I dont like using the pistol all the time, but others dont.
I really don’t like the No Bloom setting on Halo: Reach.
I liked No Bloom on Halo 2 and Halo 3 but having No Bloom on Reach just kills the gameplay because we have 3 Single-Shot Utility Weapons. The DMR, The Needle Rifle and the Magnum (Which has a huge buff in the Anniversary Playlists)
No Bloom + DMR + Shield-Bleedthrough = Unplayable Matchmade Game
Best playlist in Reach. That’s not saying much though… there’s still horrible maps and AAs there. Can’t wait till the MLG playlist update.

It’s cause those games were designed with no bloom in mind.
Halo Reach just needs faster bloom reset.

Is that why there are hoards of rabid player dying to have a game on that jam packed playlist?

Bloom honestly isn’t a problem for me. I don’t rely on Utility Weapons and I’m pretty much the Automatic Plasma/Needler Warrior of Squad Slayer.
Bloom on the Utility Weapons allows me to escape from firefights easier. Giving those guns less bloom is like an in-game insult at me for using Automatic Weapons.

lol
Majority of the good players already left, now it’s basically just casuals. That’s why Living Dead and SWAT are the most populated xD
ZB = punishing. Reach players don’t like that, and cower back to their bloomy playlists or limited gametypes.

What game did the competetive players go to that does not have some form of bloom?

You misunderstand. This isn’t about a bloom mechanic existing in the universe. Some games require bloom. Some games thrive of bloom, but bloom isn’t a mechanic that works in Halo. A slow game like Halo doesn’t benefit at all from it.
As to answer your question, I don’t know where everyone went, but what I do know is that the playlists where the good players should be hanging out have ridiculously small populations. Reach is a casual game, that’s a fact, really.

How much do you get payed to play Reach? Nothing

What does being paid have anything to do with anything? MLG players dislike bloom, too.

There is still a difference between casual players who just play, and competitive players that actually are how the game functions.

Good idea, you should be in the Halo 3 forum, it needs the population.
