as we saw in halo escalation, on spirit of fire at the end of the comic book we saw a flood in the abandoned ship. will this bring the flood to halo 5? or was it just a useless comic. What to you guys think of it, and is it necessary?
The flood can totally fly the ship on their own and wreak havoc on humanity again, problem is The Spirit of Fire doesnt have a slip space drive anymore. They most likely have all the information Serina, The AI had (Planets, Ship Schematics, Earth). But they wont be moving fast enough in space to be an actual threat, yet …
I was glad of the break from the Flood in Halo 4 and I don’t really want to see the Flood again for another few games.
The flood have to return mainly because they are the biggest gaping plot-hole from halo 3. The flood were not totally destroyed and are still likely all over the galaxy, including the delta halo from Halo 2. The flood as a loose end has not been tied yet.
Like SENCHIEF10 said, the flood are alive and well on delta halo. I wouldn’t be surprised if they came back in halo 5, and I hope they do. This time they need to make the flood scary and hard to kill like halo ce. The flood weren’t intimidating in halo 3 because they were so easy to kill.
The Sangheli fleet glassed the surface of Delta Halo before going to Earth. ONI built a space station in its orbit to make sure that it was sterilized. As for the OP, I’m rather excited for the Floods comeback.
I’d be OK if the Flood had a cameo appearance in another Halo but would be annoyed if they came back as a major component. After three games, I was totally over them.

Aw man, you dashed my hopes of the flood returning in the halo series 
I used to be afraid of the Flood (I was 7, give me some slack), but now they are just like a more challenging version of a Spartan. I’d love to see Covies vs. Prometheans vs. Flood
The flood need to come back, I miss my space zombies…
I like the flood, although to much of them gets carried away. I hope they play a good role in the next game, but not so much they take it over.
Promethean Flood sound more interesting to fight against then the standard enemies we encountered in Halo 4, which became boring pretty quickly. The Halo campaign has always been on top of its game when you get to play through a three-way skirmish. When you can see your enemies fighting each-other the game feels a bit more alive and dynamic.
I hope so… and imagine if an infection form got the Didact.
I would not like for the flood to comeback. Three games was a long enough run for the flood. It would be interesting though to see an infected version of the prometheans.
They best not, they were the worst part of the older Halo games.
This sounds like a good implementation, I’d love the see the return of the flood!

There is probably a dozen flood infested planets still out there with hundreds of forerunner instalations with flood in containment facilities. They’ll never be gone. A new gravemind is hiding in the shadows.
Plus 343 guilty spark is confirmed alive. and you know he gets hard when flood are around
