Do you like the Elites in Halo 4? Or do you think they should look more like they did in Halo Reach?
As of now, there isn’t any plans for Elites to be in multiplayer, SO there wouldn’t be a problem making Elites bigger and stronger rather than keeping their hunchback position from Halo 3.
> They just don’t look that good. Their armor is a mess and something about their faces is just…off.
I think it is supposed to look messy to show that they aren’t as well equipped, but the design just doesn’t quite come together the way it should and it makes them look more laughable then threatening.

I sure hope “messy” isn’t the extent the tagline “reformed” Covenant goes.
Honestly, the Halo 4 faces look better than the Reach faces, which looked like some sort of screwed up frog-fish hybrid. Still liked the Halo 3 faces best, though.
Another thing that’s bothering me is that the armor looks very . . . chunky. The top part of the combat harness looks fine, but everything else looks off. And the lack of armor on the arms is . . . strange. They also seem to be more hunched over than usual, like the Sangheilli in Halo Wars.
As I’ve stated in another thread: It looks as though the Elite had a three-some with a Grunt and Jackal. It has small scaly arms, huge legs/boots and I’d almost say over-sized looking body.
The Elites in Reach looked big and fearsome. I liked the looks of them in the earlier Halos as well.

I liked the way they were standing straight in reach. I don’t like how their skin is pale and they have kind of a bumpy texture in places. I do like the way their armor seems more fluid in desien and the way their teeth are though their mandibles seem high up. Overall i think they look “all-right.” I really wish they were playable though.
The thing about the Halo 4 Elites is that, we’re I to guess, they are meant to look badly equipped. The elites were never the technological experts of the Covenant and, after they split from them, they were like grandparents playing a video game. They have no idea how to use it! Thus their equipment has fallen into disrepair. I am making this assumption based off of what has been stated in The Return and Glasslands.

Smart idea! If thats right, then the same would go for the other Seperatists, While the Covy remnants would be somewhat better equiped.
