I love everything, except the no undo/redo feature/weather feature. What do you think?
Everything thats been shown so far looks great.
most of the shadow effects are a bit too much, like the beginning of that spec-ops mission. it’s just too dark
Seen lots of videos on it, outstanding graphics, awesome weapons, everything basially is good about it.
Halo 4 is more awesome and better than ever.
There are still alot of things I’m skeptical about, but I’ll go over alot of things I really like.
1: The Progression system, and custom loadouts.
I for one have always been a fan of covy weapons. I preferred the Plasma Rifle to the AR in Halo CE. I preferred the Carbine to the BR in Halo 2 and 3, and I prefer the Plasma Repeater and NR to the AR and DMR in Halo Reach.
Now for the first time ever, I don’t have to put myself at risk picking up weapons that offer me no real advantage over what I spawned with. I LOVE this.
2: The new Armour Abilities.
Now if I had it my way there wouldn’t be Armour Abilities, but meeting the fans that hate them in the middle with the fans that love them is a good move. These new AAs are nowhere near as game breaking as the original set. Thrust vs Evade, and Promethean Shield vs Armour Lock are two great examples of this.
3: The overal feel of gameplay.
This game looks like Halo 2 when people play it. There is nothing I have ever wanted more than a return to Halo 2, with minor tweaks like removal of the glitches, and greatly reduced aim assist. Then for the game to develop off of that. And Halo 4 seems like it has Halo 2 at it’s core, with a layer of new goodies on top of it. I LOVE that.
4: Spartan Ops
I don’t think there’s much that can be said against Spartan Ops. It looks in every respect AWESOME. And it will add 12 hours of cooperative campaign time to the already existing Master Chief campaign, giving it the largest story section in any Halo game to date. AWESOME.
5: Ordinance Drops
I can definitely understand where some people come from thinking this will succeed in ruining the game. But honestly I don’t mind the premise with which we get them. Firstly the fact that we can’t get top tier power weapons from them is very nice. The only weapons I’ve seen them drop are the Scattershot, Needler, Sticky Detonator, Plasma Grenades, Overshield, Speed Boost, and Damage Boost. No Rockets, no Swords, no Snipers. I would like them to take it that little bit farther down, and remove Scattershots from the selections as well, but it’s not that big a deal.
But I feel Ordinance Drops do what they need to do, they provide players with things you won’t normally go far out of your way to get, with the exception of Powerups, but there was a VERY legitimate reason to fight for those in the past, and now they seem like minor buffs, and if you DONT get them, there’s no threat of the enemy getting them instead.
Now like I said, there are still alot of things I’m uncertain how I feel about. The Tactical and Support packages are iffy. And the appearance of a few things in Halo 4 looks off. Like Spartans (specifically their upper body proportions/arms), and the Marine character shown in the screenshot with Master Chief.
But ultimately alot of things are falling into place to make Halo 4 look GREAT.
Looks like it’s got a good campaign but I’d prefer a great or godly campaign.
H3 set the trend for short campaign missions + number of missions.
ODST set the trend for firefight wave/defense battles which were used to the death in Reach.
H4 must increase mission replayability and combat variety.
Only 15% of the Reach campaign, 25% of H3 campaign, and 50% of H2 campaign appeals to me compared to CE.
Those sections were:
Reach - LNoS last 4 Elites, PoA Zealots battle, TotS rally point alpha & rally point bravo
H3 - The Ark at rally point bravo, The Covenant tower battles, The Covenant final battle with Covies, The Storm factory and AA gun battles
H2 - 5-6 missions in their entirety
That’s how the quality of Halo campaigns is to me. It’s been getting less attractive to the point that I only favor individual encounters or just 1 or 2 complete missions.
Compared to CE, this is not a lot. I have many favorite encounters in that game and most of it’s missions I embrace or tolerate.
I think it looks too much like Halo Reach, it must demarque other Halo is very important to its success.
Its cartoon graphics is too and I wish the co-op and multiplayer and the campaign and they must be réussient they give the best of themselves.
I want a good end game because by the time the developers as to tend to end Moitiers we buy games for their DLC. It’s brainwashing.
Otherwise it may have great potential, it will certainly be better I would hope that Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach.
I was VERY SKEPTICAL, until I played it at RTX and EVERYTHING is FINE.
I’ve played all the Halo’s and it feels better than Halo 2 or Halo 3 and plays NOTHING like Reach.
It’s like a TURBO HIGHLY POLISHED Halo 3 - 2 Highbrid w/the DMR thrown in for kix…it’s awesome.

No, it doesn’t. It looks cooler and better.
I think it looks mental.

Anyway the graphics and proves the way to play multiplayer.
But if you say he does not look like the bottom and I’m happy.
