What Do You Think of Action Sack's Husky Raid?

Hello everyone. After playing Action Sack’s Husky Raid - Meta Raid a couple of times, I thought I’d post a topic to get a discussion going about this gametype and I would like to hear your opinions on it. I know Action Sack has always been about having fun and doing crazy things on crazy matches. However, during these matches of Husky Raid, I feel this is not as fun as it could be. Why? This is because as soon as one enemy, or yourself has a sniper, you will pretty much kill everyone or be killed by the enemy almost instantly with unfair chances. I understand you spawn with random weapons and go crazy on the enemy and have a lot of fun, however I believe taking Sniper Rifles off would make the gametype much more enjoyable instead of only focusing on kills when a flag is supposed to be at least caught. It would help make the gametype more enjoyable, fun and balanced in my opinion. This is not a complaint at all, it’s just a kind suggestion to help improve the gametype based upon my experience playing it as I personally think Sniper Rifles make it less enjoyable and unbalanced. Do you think this gametype needs that slight improvement to make the gametype more enjoyable for players? Or do you like this gametype with snipers and it doesn’t need improving? Feel free to comment why you think this gametype needs to improve or why you think it’s more fun or better with snipers on.

You have to play it with mindless aggression. Resist the urge to sit back. Charge down the hill. If you can make it 10 steps down the slope half the battle is won because you are out of sight of the sniper. To answer your question it would be much more fun without snipers.

It’s fine. I would prefer a couple more notches in the walls to hide in. I loved the game mode in Halo 4 and still quite enjoy in Halo 5.

Best mode in Action Sack by a mile. Rift ball is second and pound arena being third. Mantis breakout is okay. Hate the rest.

Ikr? It’s more like “ground pound if you manage to not get shot out of the air a thousand times” town.

I actually like Husky Raid a lot.

If I was going to complain about the action sack playlist I would complain about Tank World or Mantis Breakout. Just not fun in my opinion.

I usually play husky raid to get sniper kills.
I wish the map was castle wars tho.

A good incineration cannon will take out any snipers. 50% of the time it works every time.

I disagree with this. I think the beam rifle is a good way to balance out the ground pound. Can’t do that with an SMG.

Yea but then you just have people who just camp…defeating the whole purpose of a “ground pound” arena if they want precision weapons in the game they need to re-title it to reflect that

I get what you are saying. I have seen a few people who were on the same fire team kind of watch each others back and just sit on one of the platforms and snipe away. But it’s not an easy thing to do without getting hit eventually by someone, I was actually impressed by a particular pair who were tearing everyone up.

I guess if this was anything but action sack it would get on my nerves.

It depends on your weapons.
Rockets are good to kill enemies who are down the hill.
Snipers are good to kill enemies camping on their base
Plasma caster is good when you’re charging up to the flag
Shotgun/sword/hammer are good when you are in the enemy territory.
And so on …

Just know how to use the different weapons

I haven’t played this mode but sounds frustrating to be sniped out after spawn

I do not enjoy it at all. The game consists of spawning, getting sniped, spawning, going in, having your teammates stay back and not help, then get sniped again. Then respawn. Then get sniped.

0/10 would not play again.

While I agree that snipe pouching is an issue I actually enjoy this gametype. It’s pure chaos and if you have 2 aggressive teams that charge you are in for even more fun. But mostly a lot of teams sit back with snipes. Most of the time I don’t mind that either because killing all of them to take their flag is even more satisfying. The tough part is when your teammates don’t push down when you are half way. I mean it’s kind of a minor miracle I solo’d grabbing the flag at least you guys could help me on the way back.

This, these gametypes are incredibly slow and don’t seem to have much payoff when it comes to kills. I feel like Action Sack in general is supposed to be quick and wacky gamemodes and these do not fit that bill.
