What Do You Think Halo 5 Needs?

This is a topic just to share your thoughts on what Halo 5 needs. These can do with campaign & multiplayer. For example, I think 343 needs to downscale the upgrades in War Games. I remember when Halo 4 first came out, I loved Exile because the main battle of Scorpion vs. Gauss Cannon. Then later on, that is replaced by a Mantis, Rocket Hogs, and a bunch of power weapons. It just sucked the fun out of it. And it also needs a DLC playlist(Halo 4 still needs one). Please share your comments on what you think needs to be improved upon in Halo 5.

No cutom classes, no form of armor lock at all, i.e: Forerunner Shield. A return to the classic Halo formula.

I’ll try to stick to the less frequent criticisms and suggestions.

-File Share needs to be easier to find, a better UI in general is needed really.
-File Share on Waypoint needs more features, such as the ability to comment on specific items.
-343I should highlight community content similar to Bungie.
-More involvement with the community in general (tournaments, vidocs, etc)
-Ability to tweak aim assist, magnetism, sprint, etc. in custom games.
-More immersive co-op (i.e. not four chief clones running around).
-Better sustain (don’t take months to tweak playlists)
-Better Matchmaking (region filters, dlc filters, etc)
-Better AI and difficulty scaling.
-Custom games browser.
-Better forge aesthetics.
-More controller/preference options, such as the ability to disable assassinations.

This is also frequently said, but make better 4v4 maps. For -Yoinks!- sake, going from Chill Out to Adrift is absolutely jaw-dropping.

It’s still the halo formula but with extra features, I liked the shield doesn’t make as easy to kill as you can retreat safely you can still kill them with a grenade or a rocket launcher. Also choosing your starting weapon is a nice thing :slight_smile:

Without the need to but armor with Cr… I hated that it was such a grind -_-

Yeah, it’d be nicer if they tied them to the Progression ranks and the better armors to achievements.

As long as there is a progression system AND a copy of 3’s entire system.

Wouldn’t that be 2 progression systems then? Halo 3’s progression system was based on winning, Reach’s was based on several other things. I think the ideal progression system is one that rewards all players for their individual effort, then gives a big juicy bonus for the winning team. None of that jackpot/assists/commendations bonus point junk.

Well the one from Reach simply as the more you play, and all of 3’s for what 3 did.

Nooooo!.. Stick to the way you got armour in halo 4, double kill with spartan lazer was impossibru!!!

Dude I got that on Snowbound in one of my first matches. All you needed to do was wait until 2 guys fighting with ARs tried to melee each other.

Besides, Achievement unlocks were 10000x more satisfying than ranking up and getting armor. Nothing to make you feel more badass than earning 1000gamerscore and getting the Katana. I don’t think there should be too many armors tied to Multiplayer achievements though, as really that can just end up encouraging boosting if the achievement is too difficult.

No custom classes. Some armor should be bought with credits while others can be earned through collecting skulls, gamerscore, and campaign difficulties. Ranking should be like reach very hard with credits. Make a new playlist and classic playlist. I want to see returning maps. Armor more like reaches. Need odst at launch.no armor abilities but active camo and over shields should be there like in 3. Be able to play as a elite. Forge more complex. Items like in 3 instead of reaches armor abilities. Get rid of sprint. Weapons should be on ground like classic feel. Try to make old fashioned halo, because whenever 343 changes something we fanboys get mad. Make a hybrid of 3 and reach. Maybe replace invasion with flood vs marine mode.commendations should be like reaches. Armor dc please. Mark 6 armor should be like hardest to get for Spartans. And arbiter armor should be hardest for elites. Not noob friendly like 4. Casual gamers go play cod not halo. Halo fans play halo. Brink back old ranking system of covenant like minor, major, ultra, and so on. Bring back old fashioned br and smg. Please plasma rifle. Unsc aircraft please like hornet. Maybe water battles. I saw concept art for boats. I like. Please 343 look at this. Plus halo games every few years not every year. But a lot of dlc. Plus if hard to rank up we will stick longer to the game.

Yes, I’m sure everyone agrees with that philosophy 100%.

You state the multiplayer is bad because it’s archaic, you don’t elaborate on this position when I ask you to, and then you turn around and essentially say “multiplayer is insignificant”.

I don’t get it. Do you just hate Halo multiplayer altogether, or do you genuinely think it needs improvement?

Legitimate question. Why do you dislike the multiplayer, what do you think needs improved, what would you do to improve it?
