What do you think about the magnum in Halo 4

What do you think about the magnum in Halo 4 ?
I don’t really know how to use it, close range or middle (or both) ?
With the light rifle, we kill with only 4 bullets, and the crosshair goes up when we are hit, such an annoying stuff !
Which weapons (excepted the DMR, oh guys, Reach sucks !) do prefer ?

For the magnum I use it for both. Just aim for the head.

I like the magnum alot especially when I run out of a clip in a gunfight…just switch to that bad boy and it will work great in close/mid-range. Also works long range you just have to really aim high up for it to be effective.

It would have been better if it had 2-4 extra shots in a magazine. I only see a point using it over the Boltshot if I am using an automatic primary.

And what about the assault rifle, as i’m mainly a close range player ? I don’t wanna be treated as a noob or told i have no skills or smthing

i may use the assault rifle at a mid range and finish with the magnum ?
