I’ve seen a lot of complaints already about the game. It’s been out for 12 hours, and the forums have already been filled with players crying about the Pistol being OP and REQs being P2W. I think that we need to wait longer before making complaints about the balance of the game, but it made me wonder if we were hearing the general consensus or the select complaining of the few. So what do you think?
I find it great but serious question, anyone find it awkward to aim the pistol and overall in general in Halo 5? In every other Halo i can land perfect kills with precision weapons with ease. I’m not sure what it is but i want to know if others feel the same way, maybe it’s just while i adjust.
I felt it has bad aiming capabilities. A BF4 semi-auto pistol has more aim than this…
For me is good.
It’s perfect. People saying it needs a nerf are just bad/clueless and should be ignored.

I think the majority of people complaint about the pistol are getting headshot. And when they use the pistol they aren’t hitting headshots.
The pistol is well balanced, erratic when it is being used incorrectly and accurate and powerful when it is being used properly.
It is a good weapon for mid to long and rewards a skilled hand. I think it may reward it a little too much considering it can outdo a battle rifle or dmr at range but all in all its not as broken as people are making it out to be.
The pistol is AWESOME but kinda overpowered

This is probably due to the fact that there is no aim assist. Bullet magnetism still exsists though.
can anybody confirm how many headshots vs body shots it takes to kill with the pistol and BR? it appears the first two shots take down the shields. then one headshot for the kill. not sure how many body shots to kill with shields down.
TBH I would have preferred if it had a slightly faster RoF and was a 4SK i’m perfectly happy with this pistol. As long as we don’t get pistols like halo 2 or 3 i’ll be happy.
Its bullet magnetism should be toned down, but otherwise its a great starting weapon that can out shoot BR/DMR. The problem is, it can outshoot BR/DMR pretty consistently. Only the best players with accuracy should be able to achieve the pistol’s optimal TTK on a consistent basis.

This. I thought it was just my accuracy, but it seems like more and more people notice it. I think this makes up for how strong it is.

Pistol kills in 5 shots if the 5th is to the head. So 4 shots break the shield. I don’t know yet about body shots.
BR is definitely 4 shot kill minimum but I don’t know about body shots either.
Hopefully someone will test everything in custom games soon & upload it to youtube.
Seems to be in its right exact spot to me
powerful enough to defend yourself from autos at close range and push back br at mid range but still redundant enough that you pick up a precision weapon when you go by it

I feel as if it’s brought that old epic part of Halo:CE back to life but in Halo 5 as I absolutely loved the destruction on what a pistol used to be able to do and now that it’s back, well I’m amazed.

If I could hazard a guess? probably because they are getting outgunned while using the AR
