> As much as I would like to see the ODSTs return, I don’t think they will, the ODSTs became spartan IVs I believe (correct me if I’m wrong). But it would be pretty awesome to see some rogue ODSTs fighting for what they believe in, in a jungle somewhere, kinda like guerrilla warfare and the Chief decides to help them or something like that.
> Changing weather in forge maps would be amazing! It would be so cool to 1v1 someone when it’s snowing or raining and add in a few AI team mates and enemies to sneak up on would be an extremely nice feature.
> I didn’t really mind unlocking armour pieces through commendations, especially the harder ones, it really felt like you earned that armour. But I can see why purchasing aromour pieces through credits that you’ve earned would be a highly requested feature, it keeps the player coming back and gives him/her something to work towards.
> I have a pretty good feeling that halo on the Xbox one will have the right sized campaign, now that 343 have learnt what the community wants and no that they aren’t as rushed as they were for halo 4’s release date.
> I think load outs will be seen in most, if not all future halo titles because they offer another customization option and makes the player feel like they play as any role they want. As for weapon balancing, I think after the title update for halo 4, the weapons were balanced perfectly, but that’s not to say there were still too many one shot kill weapons.
> As much as I would like to see a beta for halo Xbox one, I highly doubt there will be one, it would be too much of a waste of resources, time and money and if there was going to be one, I think 343 would have announced it by now.
> Return of dual wielding is a touch and go sort of feature, if you get it right it makes the game incredibly fun and interesting by mixing two completely different weapons together and seeing what you get. But if dual wielding was a feature in the campaign then it would have to be in the multiplayer otherwise the fans would not be happy at all, and dual wielding weapons would take a long time to balance in comparison to other weapons. 343 would have to give the player a reason to want to dual wield so that the two weapons could get kills, but they would have to make the player not always want to dual wield otherwise having two guns would make using only one redundant.
> I think the armour on the vehicles was good in halo 4, the only problem with it was how you could completely destroy a warthog right off your spawn, I speak of the infamous plasma pistol/sticky grenade combo. If 343 were to take out these two weapons from load outs, vehicular combat would be much more fun and exciting.
> I too would like to see armour skins back, they add another level of customization to the game, perhaps they could be an unlock-able item in matchmaking like armour pieces?
> A more competitive ranking system like halo 3’s and 2’s would be very nice to see, it actually makes the player feel like they have accomplished something, in saying this, I would also like to see the skill gap in halo Xbox one increased so when the bad players start to get better, they know it and feel proud of it.
> I think the maps were a good size in halo 4, it’s just that default sprint made the larger maps easier to cover. If 343 take out default sprint in the next halo then there won’t be a need for bigger maps.
> I think everyone wants to see the arbiter, but I don’t want to see him if 343 are just putting him in there to please fans, I think he needs to play a big part in the campaign in order for him to be in there.
> I felt as though the emotion in halo 4’s campaign was done really well, it captured the feelings of John as his beloved AI companion, that had gone through so much with him, was inevitably taken away from him, and the way Cortana died seemed fitting, her last action was helping John, just like she always did. In fact I think the campaign focused almost too much on the emotional side, and not enough on the action side, but that’s just me.
> I think no matter how good 343 make their game, people will always have problems with it.
> Thanks for reading this post and remember, all of what I have said is just my opinion and is open to discussion
In Halo 4, besides choosing to start with the carbine, This is not how I feel. It is not how many feel. many of the perks are what were once base player traits, so if anything, I am LESS prepared for fighting than before, logic.
Halo 5 should be classic based, not copied, by which I mean, we can choose what Weapons and 1 grenade of any type
Primaries:
AR
BR
CC
SR
Secondaries:
Magnum
Needle Pistol (Pistol Variant of the Needle Rifle, both it and the PP are in the game)
SMG (Preferably the ODST one aswell, even if it is just a skin)
Plasma Rifle
Grenade x1:
Frags (Leave as is)
Plasmas (Have to travel a certain distance before being sticky)
Pulses (Get buffed a bit)
There, Classic like, and balanced, that is all we need.
No sprint, No AAs, No perks, no BS, just Halo with weapon choice, that all players have access to at any time, you have to unlock skins, not weapons.
