What Do You Love About Halo?

What is it that you love about Halo that keeps you hooked? That keeps you coming back to play time and time again?

All in regards to Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3:

  • The music. Marty O’Donnel and Michael Salvatori’s scores for those three games are amazing, and I can listen to those soundtracks over and over again. They really make certain levels/situations a million times better. - The story of the original trilogy, and therefore the campaign. - The lore behind the Covenant. - Gameplay: Easy to play, but difficult to truly master. - The Master Chief, Cortana, Avery Johnson, and the Arbiter. - Incredibly epic moments, especially in Halo 3 (my opinion).

All very good reasons! I truly love Marty O’Donnell’s work on the soundtracks. Still the best out there if you ask me

To be honest, everything. I love everything about Halo.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes.(The good ones)

David Bowie Changes on the top part.

Basically Everything I needed to say! However I disagree on point 6. My favorite epic moments are from Halo 2.

True, epic moments exist in all of them. I just find more moments in Halo 3 that are fun for me to personally play through.

Halo 3 had some pretty incredible moments. My favorites are in Halo CE and Halo 2. I have to say too, the end of Halo 4. The interaction between Master Chief and Cortana, gets me chocked up every single time

Yeah, the interactions/dynamics between Halo 4 was all that kept me hooked onto Halo 4. And it makes Halo 5 painful to look at (as in, they completely ruined all this great stuff that had been lost and gained in H4’s story).

I agree. The story was new and rekindled several connections with many characters. Didn’t really get that in Halo 5
