I was just playing grifball and got about 50 kills, but I had accidentally team killed a guy a couple times throughout it, and towards the end of it I killed him after getting some damage from where he was, but didn’t notice he was a teammate, and he kicked me. What exactly do I lose there? I mean I was carrying our team in the game and I get kicked for doing something everyone else does accidentally. I’d been team killed about 4 times and done nothing about it.
You lose the XP and RP you would have potentially received that game. The banhammer might keep a closer eye on you, but you don’t really lose anything.

I have mixed feelings about betrayal booting in grifball. From one perspective it shouldn’t be there and from another there are a lot of people who do betray intentionally and repetitively. Personally I would like to see the betrayal boot option appear on the fourth kill instead of the third. There is pretty much no chance that you’ll get four team kills unless you are inept or doing it intentionally.
PS: We’ll when you do get that griefing ban, I’ll be there to link you to the ban thread.
