Whether it’s from a casual gamer standpoint, or competitive; what do you enjoy in Halo 4?
Just to get the ball rolling, I for one love how 343 made a flood model for matchmaking. It’s something that I’ve always wanted ever since the Living Dead playlist on Halo 3 Weekends.

I love the way they implemented loadouts and armor augmented abilities. People complain a lot about it being too much like “Call of Duty”. In my opinion, if a system is good, popular, and working… why not implement a type of that system and make a game better. I like it much more than the way Halo 3 worked. It feels more personal and far more customized. Are there a few balance problems with ordinances and what not? Yes. But you will find that in any game. I think 343 did a fantastic job and I can’t wait for Halo 5.

Could not agree more. Loadouts and ordanance have made halo so much more interesting and competitive. I love the new flinch mechanic, not nearly as jarring as descoping was I’m glad they changed that. I really like being able to inherently sprint too gosh it really is nice, no more nonchalantly jogging around I can actually move quickly when the situation calls for it.
Also the campaign was the best to date and spartan ops is a million times better than dumb ol’ firefight.

I really enjoyed Spartan Ops. I wish they made another season.
The dialogue was a little iffy but season two could’ve been better. But we’ll never know I guess.
I do wish they added in Firefight though. I think I liked both of them equally. Maybe they’ll add it into Halo 5

I respect your opinoni, but I gotta disagree…
The whole point of halo is to empesize on the weapons you picked up on the map and focus on a sorta team work, distinct map control kinda gameplay…
Halo 4 just let’s you pick and choose what you need for all situations on the battlfield, which defeats the purpose of a halo game

The problem is that people tend to think of all Halo games as one game. They want each game look and feel the exact same way. I disagree with that notion. That would get very boring and inevitably they would lose their fan base due to said boredom. I prefer games to evolve and change. Loadouts and augments are the direction games are going. Gamers want customization. This is why Battlefield games are always so strong. They add ways to customize and different game types. Halo had to follow or it would fall behind and be forgotten. Halo 4 is it’s own game. It is not Halo 1, 2, or 3. Not everyone agrees with me. Everyone is there own gamer, but I think 343 took a step in the correct direction. I can only hope that they do it again but with less bugs and balance issues in Halo 5.

I concur. The customization in Halo 4 is by far the best and hoping there are more custom options in Halo 5.

90% of the people are gone O.o Do you guys even now what your talking about? I respect opinions but saying Halo 4 is the right way or ordonance are competitive is just BS. Couldnt disagree more with shooting sammys post. Even the firefight part. If you guys want loadouts and -yoink- then play your CoD or battlefield. It doesnt fit into halo and the population proofs it.
I like the maps, 4sk BR, commendations, stances, graphics, campaign…
The entire package was well conceived. Two separate matchmaking experiences was pure genius. Enhanced SPARTAN character customization, both cosmetic and strategic, could increase player investment. In short, there is really nothing wrong with the game.
All the good ideas were overwhelmed by poor implementation followed by an apparent unwillingness to make obviously necessary changes when they might have made a difference.
Giving 16 players in a match power weapons that create multiple huge explosions just invites lag, unless you account for it, which they apparently didn’t. No one is going to play a laggy game, no matter how good it is.
It is difficult to distinguish skilled players from unskilled players. These distinctions were painfully apparent in Halo 2 and 3, and even Reach matchmaking. That had a lot to do with search parameters and population.
If the obvious things that have been suggested over and over ad nauseum since the release month get implemented Halo 4 may yet shine forth in it’s full glory. If not, it may come to be appreciated years later, much like Reach. Hopefully we won’t be liking Halo 4 because we don’t like Halo 5.
I LOVED the graphics and smooth movement in the game.
I would like 343 to remove/fix is the load-out system. Everyone should start off with a weapon that is capable of killing mid range at start (BR), and if they want to, go find the niche weapons (AR, Boltshot, DMR).

I understand why you feel that way. The problem is… Halo is growing up. It’s fans will either grow up with it… or they will move on to other games and Halo will gain others. The fact of the matter is 343 won’t take a step back into the way Halo used to be. They aren’t Bungie and I very much doubt they could make a game that feels like a Bungie game if they tried. My money is on them going forward in what they started and making it even better. New company, new games. IMO Halo 4 is the best in the series yet. It is new and innovative. I love the multi-player far more than I have previous installments and I know I’m not alone. Just because the heard walks away from the best food doesn’t mean the heard is right my friend.

> The maps in Halo 4 are awesome! I love all the maps, especially Ragnarok, and I feel as though 343 made every map feel like Halo.
>
> That would be even more awesome! I hope that there will be 16v16 battles in Halo 5. Not gonna lie, I would be stoked to hear 343 announce that!
That would make my day to hear 343 announce a 16v16 gametype in Halo 5. But just think about how huge the maps would have to be! Still, it would be amazing.
