What do you Honestly Think?

(Note I posted this in another thread as a comment, but I want to know what people think about this mindset, truely.)

I dunno what to say, I lost so much hype for this game cause of people’s opinions. Halo 4 was amazing pre-launch. There was speculation, High hopes, everyone was ready for it. Did it go bad, that’s partially true due to the population drops, but beyond that it’s opinion. But these days it’s all how 343 destroys the Halo name and -Yoink-. Why isn’t anyone giving the guys at Project Contingency -Yoink-? I mean, they’re making a Halo game by fans for fans, so doesn’t that mean you should -Yoink- down their mouths too about how it needs to be pure or this and that? If you said yes, then well I don’t know what to do about you then, cause that sort of self entitlement is absurd. So then if you said no, why? Maybe because they didn’t originally make Halo, and that they’re making the Halo game as fans they wanted to see come to life. So then they can do what they want because it’s really their game, and you can choose weather or not to be along for the ride and see if it’s as cool as they hope it could be.

343 is in the same boat, the difference is that they have money, resources, and access to the title Halo. But they’re their own team, some never made Halo games beforehand, so ultimately it’s up to them to make the Halo game they wanted to play. So if that’s how it should be, hell, bungie told them to do their own thing, then why do we -Yoink- down their mouths about it? Because I have to buy it? Because, I dunno, reasons? If they souly deserve to get flack for their game, then your targeting 343. If you think that all Halo games that are made ever, fans or corperate, should be pure? Then your a self entitled moron who really should just either play what you do like and stop trying to ruin what others enjoy, or spend the time and work with others to make the game YOU wanted. If that works out, then you can enjoy the fruit of your labors and play the game you wanted, instead of screaming at others to make it for you.

Constructive Criticism is when you tell them how it could work better, but telling them that something that is working so well needs to be completely changed for preferences, is another can of worms in it of itself.

I understand how you feel (or so I think because your post was confusing with all the “Yoinks”). Don’t let some of the threads here ruin your Halo 5 experience. Make it your own. Now go get a good night of sleep and wake up without this exhausted expression in your writing.

I hope there’s a classic playlist, either community or dev made. Then again, anyone who cares enough to at least give H5 a go will eventually come around. There’ll always be people who never even give it a chance and that’s truly sad, for them.

For people on the fence, it would be a shame for them to miss out on all the tech advances that H5 is going to bring (especially if there’s a classic mode implemented which would benefit greatly), improving the whole experience. I’m talking the best hit detection, (speculating) the best matchmaking, the best new ranking system and maybe most importantly, dedicated servers!

It amazes me how many people don’t know how to give constructive criticisms, they simply say “I don’t like that” and don’t give it too much thought. They don’t even give an alternate option

There may or may not be a reason why I stopped coming here. The negativity is contagious. Dont let others determine your happiness or your excitement.

After everything that happened with TMCC, its next to impossible for me to get even remotely excited for H5. I am looking forward to Warzone but I will not be buying H5 at launch. I will wait a few days or a week and keep an eye on the reviews and community feedback to make sure H5 actually works. If it has a successful launch with minimal problems then I will consider picking it up.

i was tempted by that course of action as well, but playing tmcc reminded me of something, yes, its launch was awful, and could possibly have been avoided with a beta, but they’ve fixed it. most of the problems were with the fact they’re trying to balance effectively 4 games and 6 graphics engines into one engine. the beta for halo 5 which came out in the middle of tmcc’s worst period ran as well as if not better than any beta i have played before. so i decided i would go for it, and when the digital pre-order became available i did it, not because i expect a flawless launch, but that i expect a great game, so it might have a few lingering bugs at launch but i’m a halo fan, i played games before halo, but i also did other things, but halo came out when i was still deciding who i want to be and it made me a gamer, i have played and enjoyed every halo game, yes even reach and wars, and read every book that’s come out, until the stories stop interesting me and the gameplay stops entertaining me i will play halo, i will read it’s books and graphic novels and i’ll murder other spartan’s till the sun rises. halo 5 looks amazing, the story is killing me to wait for it and for the first time since i can remember i actually enjoyed watching pro-play it was that good.

i believe halo 5 will be a great game even if it has a shaky start and so i say to you the community of waypoint! will you join me on october 27th in glorious battle! or will fear and doubt stay your hands?!

It’s nice to read all of these comments, I expected to get flamed almost eminently.
