So way back when the control schemes for halo 4 were released, i was slightly unhappy with the crouch button being b, and most of the control schemes forced me to claw for things like crouch jumping or using AA’s/Sprint, because i use crouch alot, and i tend to want to look around while sprinting or using an AA. I was stuck between recon, bumper jumper and boxer, and i chose boxer. I switched to boxer on reach, and suprisingly enough, i found it easy to get used to. LT for melee and RB for nades isnt too bad. And in the case of H4, i can handle sprint on b, it will just take some good timing on my part. I want to know who else is using boxer, or what everyones opinions are on boxer.
iv been using boxer since reach as well and its by far the most comfortable for me, having B for sprint seems ridiculous, why cant it be the left analog button like in every other shooter.

Because others like me and the OP want a choice for one set to have crouch on left stick. If you really want sprint on left stick do the opposite of me and switch to default, the only other change for you will be melee and grenade switched.
I used boxer in Halo 1 & 2 and will be going back to it
I’m a Boxer user as well and I’m also slightly worried about sprint being mapped to B. It doesn’t make too much sense to me why such an important function would be mapped to B when you need that thumb free to look around with the right-stick… Sorry if that didn’t make any sense XD… I guess I can’t say for sure until the game is finally out, but so far it sounds like I may end up changing control schemes…
I’ve been using Boxer since Halo 2 came out and love it but I do not like the fact that Sprint is mapped to the B button so I’m gonna have to change what I play with
Well…I’ve been a Greenthumb player since early days of Halo 3 and when I played Halo 4 at PAX, I switched to Boxer to have crouch on the left thumbstick. I liked it.
Well, except for the, “Oh crap! That was a grenade not reload and WHY DID I RUN OVER THE GRENADE I JUST ACCIDENTALLY THREW?!” moments.

Just remember you don’t have to hold b to sprint, only needs a tap then your thumb is right back on the thumb stick.
Did not say this previously, but my main reason for wanting to keep crouch on the stick if for crouch jumping.

Been Boxer since day 1 lol. So B = Sprint and the Left Thumbstick clicked = Crouch? Sounds perfectly fine to me. Crouch on B would not work at all. Crouch control is more important than using Sprint easily, IMO. CAN’T WAIT!
I’ve been trying out BJ on Halo 3 and switching between than and default…I can’t seem to get used to BJ, but, I guess with enough practice, I will thoroughly enjoy BJ. I guess I will do the same between recon and BJ with H4
