Played a quick game of doubles just to see how it would go. Thought it was surprisingly fun. Whole new take on capture the flag for sure having the same size levels and only two people. Felt a little sorry for my partner as I was getting killed more than I should have but still won thanks to my teammate. Definately have to rely on teamwork but I fell like team doubles has great potential to pair people up that could go on to play ranked together if you find a partner you work well with. Anyways I was happy with it hopefully next game i won’t be the anchor. Youll have to pull your weight as you don’t have a few others to back you up so that’s nice not to have people just hanging back and not going for the objective. Glad they implemented this. it would be nice to see some online doubles tournements for different ranks in the future and maybe win some unique armor or something. Anyways hope doubles gets a good reception.

Last spartan standing should have been a doubles mode. I am pumped to try this sometime this week though
Big doubles fan here. Some of the maps need their power drop timer adjusted as I played on Catalyst and it devolved into swords constantly being available.

It’s a terrible playlist. It devolves to one team controlling the powerups. I was hoping for more than 2 teams - similar to HaloV’s trios playlist. King of the Hill is just dumb in 2 v 2. Awful execution of what should have been a fun playlist. Very disappointing.
It’s absolutely frakking hilarious! I hate it as much as I love it, because it’s SO disappointing. My friend @eMixture and I went slapping around some kids in Team Doubles, expecting a fight at all and… Nope, nope not at all. Hahahahahahaha. Oh my Gods, guys. It’s so bad.
it’s just 2v2 on huge maps, that’s it. The UI infrastructure literally isn’t there for multi-team and it’s… honestly REALLY sad, and it’s ENTIRELY because of the outline system! Gods, it’s awful! It’s so awful. It’s a like, sort of fun spank? But it’s also TUUUURBO sad. I don’t know, y’all, it just should noooooooot be this way.
Me and a buddy played one match, KOTH, then our other friend got on. It was fine, no complaints here, other than the usual stuff of course. Looking forward to more of it.
Ranked doubles is boring because it’s only slayer. Team doubles is a fun concept. 2v2 on catalyst is awful… too big of a map
Sounds like you just don’t know what Team Doubles means,…or how Halo gameplay generally works.
Turns out it’s about controlling power weapons between two teams, unless specifically stated to be multi-team. Lol.
Ranked doubles matchmaking seems off. I got matched with another person who’s Onyx open and placed Gold --we won that game 25-2 or something. All the games I played were not even remotely competitive.
Slayer doubles on some of these maps does not work well at all. As others have mentioned, swords are gamebreaking on Catalyst and Recharge. Honestly, did nobody play test those? Rockets on Streets might also be a little overpowered for doubles in my opinion.
Haven’t played because everyone I know stopped playing Infinite a month after it released. None of them are interested in returning
I love this idea of a duo LSS.
Team doubles however has looked pretty solid from the outside. I plan on getting on today or tomorrow to truly experience it for myself.
Anybody playing solo what’s your experience with your team player having a mic or not?
I think I’ve maybe had 1 person out of 4 games.
Seems about normal then. Maybe I won’t go in Solo.
I think it’s important everyone who doesn’t regularly play doubles not jump off the boat if you don’t like your initial impressions.
In a couple weeks, once some of the map metas have been figured out it will be far easier to solo que with randoms.
It’s fun in MCC 2v2 when you and another rando work really well together even without needing a mic 
I have to confess I don’t really know why you would play Ranked duos without a mic. It’s just an inherent disadvantage in a game type whose whole point is cooperation, even more acutely than 4x4. I bet if you tested it as a TrueSkill2 parameter that 2x mics would help predict wins pretty solidly.
It’s okay. I can’t knock it too much. I still would like to have last spartan standing in the playlist.
