what do you guys think of halo

I was just wondering what do you guys think of halo 4.I don’t really like the changes but I have yet to see game play of single player or multiplayer the release date is 6 months away I don’t think I’m preordering it either. There’s things I wanted to keep and things I want to change.I want halo to be like ce or halo 2 I’m not trying to be bias I want something new be I don’t want halo to be class based shooter like everything else.I want it to be something new that has skill like don’t know like unreal, marathon, quake and doom.Something that hasn’t been done in years there might be games like that I’m not sure.I hear people say halo need to be changed but why does it have to become like everything and another thing why do you guys hate on other who want it to be the same maybe its to big of a change for them. Please tell me what you thing of halo and what makes a good game stand out of the crowd.Note sorry if it doesn’t make sense or I misspell something sorry and don’t call me a 8 year or some crap.

I’m definetly buying it.

Whether it’s good or not, I’m not exactly sure, as I haven’t played the game yet.

As of now, I’m liking how the game looks.

I couldn’t have said it better my self nice job!

… My eyes…

It’s simple, the formula used in the first trilogy was stale, bungie tried to shake it up, rushed reach and jaded us all.

A new company took over, seeing as how there are people who liked reach they can’t alienate those players by junking the entire reach formula, and they can’t completely oust fans of the first trilogy either. They HAVE to pacify all the existing fans while attempting to draw more new fans in, hence all the changes.

I’m ok with the new additions and subtractions, in the end 3 years of care and DEVELOPEMENT will outshine the steaming pile of crap bungie said goodbye with.

Evolution.

While change is good, Change that removes skill-based aspects of the game, and replaces them with either random factors, or gimmicks, are bad.

Armour Abilities were a terrible gimmick to spawn with, and replaced skill with things like Armour Lock and the Jetpack. Now if, say, you had to pick the Jetpack up off the map, it wouldn’t be so bad. But since you can choose to spawn with an advantage over certain areas of combat, and then exploit that advantage, skill is literally replaced by situational abilities.

A few things Reach did wrong that they seem to be fixing are:

Movement Speed/Jump Height, being faster now and making it take more skill just to aim and shoot.

Removing Bloom, which was literally nothing but a random factor.

And reducing the ridiculous power of Grenades, adding to the skill gap of aiming and hitting with grenades.

I don’t mind the whole “Pick a weapon to Spawn with” So long as they do it properly, giving players the choice of Utility Weapon primary weapons (BR, DMR, Carbine, Magnum, etc), and Automatic Weapon secondary (AR, PR, Spiker, SMG, etc)

IF a Player can choose between an AR, Shotgun, and BR Primary, or a Magnum, Mauler, Needler, and Plasma Pistol secondary, they are doing it wrong.

Currently hopefully optimistic.

Even though the multiplayer aspect of the game is receiving most of the attention, mainly due to most players spending the majority of their time in multiplayer rather than singleplayer, I’m not going to complain unless it turns out unbalanced. Spartan Ops sounds like a good amount of fun though and I believe that’s where I’ll be spending the majority of my time.

As for the single player, it looks like 343 is doing their best with the franchise with respect as well as the lore. But so far they have kept so much under wraps and we’re “only” 7 or so months out from the release. We’ll see what happens at E3.

I am definitely getting the game. Limited Edition too because I like cheap map packs…

More like Replication.
