An honest given opinion, what do you guys think prior to release, up to now with Halo 4. Has it gotten any better with the newest bundle or what. What are your opinions and seriously instead of just giving an answer, give an honest answer why.
The game has significantly improved upon it’s launch.
We have gotten many new playlists (many of them were missing for quite a while such as Team Snipers and Grifball) that have been tweaked routinely, 3 new map packs and the Champions Bundle, the red ‘X’ has been brought back, the weapons have been finely tuned, et cetera.
Halo 4 was a great game under all of it’s flaws, and it seems to me that 343i has begun to find their footing.
IMO, at launch it was one of the worst halo titles to date, that being said, after the recent additions and the rebalancing, it’s probably my favorite halo
The adjustments have not solved the number one issue I have with H4 since launch, which is Lag due to abysmal host selection methodology and lack of filters (Best Connection, Local Only, no jIP) to address is.
And before you all chant the 343 mantra “It’s your connection”, Halo Reach and 4 other multiplayer titles play just fine 95% of the time on my connection - where as 70% of my H4 war games lagged by 0.5+ seconds. My NAT is open (Reach and COD II say I have a superb connection), my ping times to server is 7 ms, my ping times across North America is less than 100 ms, I have 50 Mbps download and 11 Mbps upload on a single user ADSL connection.
So they can tweak and tune all the settings they want, add all the DLC stuff too, but with 0.5+ seconds of lag - you can’t hit anything and kill it.

I honestly think it’s the fancy lighting system.
OT: I think they fixed most of my problems with the game. Except Jetpacks.
Jetpacks should be a short boost to make a jump, not getting from the bottom to the top of adrift. They surely need some tweaking in the game.
I first played this Halo July 2013. So post fixes (all I know), this might be my favorite Halo ever. It’s too bad everyone didn’t join in July 2013 for the first time (: (didn’t have 360 for a year, was nothing against Halo).
Open-mindedness is not most peoples strong point if you know what I mean :-/
It’s so much better now. I wish they were given more time to release the game like this.
Some better some worse yet still fun to play. I wish they had either slowed the rate of fire on the DMR or made it a 6 shot kill instead of buffing all the other weapons. Now the BR took the place of the DMR.
Well thanks for your replies guys, its just that from launch I never played it much because i judged the book by its cover, but with all the new things added and adjusted, yes there are some that needs the attention stat, the game plays great for me, I just need better friends and maybe even a clan to enjoy the game better lol.
The thing is people complained that Halo 4 wasnt Halo, well it is d with all the current things added (AA, Sprint etc) the game plays and feels refreshed rather than the same rehashed game over and over like Call of Duty does. Im sad to see people buying those games.
I think the game has improved notably since they updated the weapons, new maps, and constant tweaks.
The new Champions bundle definitely adds a whole new kind of fun with Ricochet! I really hope to see this gametype in tournaments!
Although there’s still some work to be done, the game has vastly improved since the release.
