( They talk about Halo between 1:00 - 7:40 )
I never thought about this until watching this video, and I know some people are not going to like this, but, I think kill/score streaks would work very well in Halo. Imagine, for example, you get a spree of any of the assistant medals and Infinity gives the option of calling in a Watcher that follows you around, shooting at your enemies, shielding you when your weak, and throwing grenades back at enemies. Another example could be, if you go on a plasma stick spree, you get the option to call in suicide grunts that drop down on the map using the drop pod and run after the enemy team. And those are just a few examples, there are really so many things you could with streaks in Halo and 343 could just separate it, just like what they are going to do with team doubles, for Infinity playlists.
WE DONT WANT KILLSTREAKS!! WE DONT WANT A COD COPY
No, simply put no. I firmly believe you should not reward people for doing good. I also firmly believe this would kill off halo for all the core fans that happen to be left.
we already have ordnance drops.
The concept of rewarding players for playing good so they can continue to to play good while giving them an advantage over those that are not playing as well is completely asinine.
I’m a decent player at the game, and I firmly believe that it would be wrong for me to be rewarded with game effecting stuff (that would make me do even better) just because I play well, I also firmly believe you shouldn’t be handed stuff for playing badly (ordnance)
Ordnance is much like care packages, they share the same effects on the game. For example you could get 2 equally skilled teams fighting one another for victory, both being in line with one another, then suddenly one of the teams gets a better ordnance drop then the other team, which can then suddenly change who the Victor is. This is a huge problem because the dice throwing essentially throws aside the opposing teams skill. The same can be said when one team is more skilled than the other, the weaker team could get lucky on the weapons and thus brush aside the better teams effort and skill.
It happens in Call of Duty a lot, if I’m on the losing team and I suddenly get a Swarm from a care package, I essentially have won the game for us without any effort, whether it be when the teams are equal or when the teams are different in skill. The dice throwing just isn’t Halo at all.
Ordnance is also to blame for the gross abundance of power weapons, literally EVERYONE has a power weapon, combined with the DMR, ordnance has created massive levels of camping and selfish play.
Ordnance is a scourge, it’s seriously hurting the game, Killstreaks would completely destroy what’s left of Halo.

Infinity Slayer (including BTB) is the most played playlist in the game, so if rewarding players for playing good is killing the game, why is it the playlist that does this is the most played playlist? That’s why they are thinking about adding Infinity CTF and Doubles, because the majority like it.

Due to the addition of sprint, maps need to be bigger for sprint to acutally be useful.
I have barely touched 4v4 Infinity Slayer after the first week because the maps were humongous for 4v4.
SWAT works fine with the DMR on the bigger maps and instant kill times but as soon as you put shields and kill times on, it just gets drawn out.
Why regular 4v4 is one of the most played playlists, I have no idea, but BTB is essentially the only playable playlist because of the huge maps. Objective games have never been that huge with Halo, and again, the maps contribute to the lack of objective players.
They’re most likely also the most played because they are the only pure Slayer types.
