What I’m talking about
We haven’t been able to see them in action so it’s impossible to judge them. I think just from the png’s that they look cool and I’m excited to see the multiplayer have that silly/fantastical style again since it’s been lacking since reach.

I’m personally excited 343’s not taking the Multiplayer super seriously. What with the Samurai Armor core, Flaming Helmet, and what looks like glowing/flaming shoulders.
Hoping they look as good in-game as they do screenshot.
I hope VFX have a toggle
Can’t stand it
Yup, that was the one thing I didn’t like about Reach’s customization. The only thing that made them tolerable was that there was only a handful of them and half of those only activated on death. I really hope they don’t drown this game in goofy cosmetics and ruin the beautiful art style, but my hopes are low in that regard.
Once Forge drops, things are gonna become plenty goofy. One of Halo’s hallmark modes is entirely centered around crafting experiences and maps that range from cool and immersive to flat-out goofy. I’m not gonna bat an eye at any silly armor effects or coatings they cook up because half the fun of Halo multiplayer is going zany with it all.
I’m a staunch defender of the background, canon, and serious tone of the Halo series. For me this is always the most important thing.
However, I love these visual effects and I support them 100%, multiplayer games are still virtual training simulators for Spartans, having this type of content to make it more attractive does not bother me.
Also, it’s not canon content, so it doesn’t matter.
