When faced with “impossible odds” which of these actions do you take?
I’m not convinced that 343’s quit bans are effective but I also see a lot of people AFKing nowadays.

I only limit myself to exactly an hour every day so i use all of it to the best i can.

I play the game because I play to have fun, not to win.

Never quit no matter the odds. That’s how everyone should play.

Most of the time I keep playing and getting my -Yoink!- handed to me. I don’t care. Sometimes though I’ll go to one of the many hiding spots that I’ve discovered over the years and see how long I can remain there undetected.

I play South Park 25th Anniversary concert through my speakers & have fun. Plus I try to support best player on our team.

Going afk is worse than quitting as you’re just a kill-farm for your enemy.
Commit to a game if you search for one.

I often see entire solo teams quit out or those that didn’t go AFK when matched against full teams (of 3 or 4). I doubt this forum is representative of the majority or that people will necessarily admit to going AFK or quitting.

I agree that this is obviously the case. But 343 won’t share any data of any kind so I was curious to try something. This is all self reporting which will be skewed.

I will always give it an honest effort. If we are getting absolutely pub stomped I will play more cautiously trying to minimize my deaths and maximize kills. The only times I will consider quitting is if my own team majority has already left.

But how can 343 give data about this? 343 cannot read minds, so it doesn’t know if someone has determined for themselves that a match is unwinnable and can’t determine why someone AFK’s or quits (it can’t even determine if someone actually quit or was disconnected/crashed).

They can share data about how many games complete with incomplete lobbies, for example. I agree they cant read minds, thats why I said “343 won’t share any data of any kind”.

343 collects all sorts of player telemetrics. I am 100% certain they can track blowout matches and track player behavior during these specific occurrences. The exact definition of an unwinnable match is up for debate sure, but I would define at as games that end with a 20+ kill discrepancy (at least for slayer).

I choose the fourth option of teabagging in a corner until either the game ends, or the enemy team joins me.

i usually try , you dont know how often i have overturned certain situations, funny thing is the most comebacks happen when i am the last one on the team in slayer as the enemy team seems to overestimates themselfs so i start to pick out random people, and when i get my hands on power weapons i might , once they realize they are no more in lead and start trying i can do the troll gameplay and start camping disgusting spots until time is run out often with a win for me by slightly more kills.

alternatively if its something there is really absolute no chance, i start being a anoyance to the enemy team lol , when more then half the team quits i quite too since there is no ban , no need to stretch the game in the lenght, but again i do this only when its really clear that there is absolute no chance

The poll is a bit, vague for me.

If I’m stacked against a GOOD team but can actually get a kill every now and then, I’ll at least try, but if the enemy team just bogs down spawn points and I can’t even move, you bet your cod piece I’m leaving that game.

If I’m being spawn camped by a 4-stack for the 8th game in a row, I pretty much just quit or AFK because I’m not playing this game to get stomped. I’m playing to have fun. Fair games are fun games, but 343 doesn’t seem to share that opinion. They need to remove leave bans in social playlists for this to be any fun.

If it’s really one sided then I’ll play more defensively more campy and I don’t care what people say. If it’s cancerous spawn killing I’ll probably just leave.

As pathetic a reason as it is, I quit games in competitive if the enemy team reaches 20 kills before my team reaches 10. I only play competitive for the wins challenge, which becomes impossible when my team is getting pummeled into the dirt (which is around 80% of competitive.) And can I ask? Do competitive ranks REALLY matter?

Stopped trying for comp. challenges a while back. Just play to relax after work.
Listen to music, drink space beer, and have fun.
