I don’t get it. It’s like any time something new comes out you hate it.
What are any of you actually looking for, ten years later?

What are we looking for? A genuine Halo game that looks and plays like a Halo game is supposed to. We want content that isn’t only locked behind microtransactions, but rather earned through hard work and effort. Even ridiculous stuff like Reach that took years to unlock for credits. Doesn’t matter. Free stuff in Infinite is usually low effort ugly trash, and decent stuff is $10 - $20. We want a fun Halo game focused around being fun, not focused around Ranked balance and challenge grinding. You can easily just rebalance the game between Ranked and Casual SEPARATELY. We want to laugh and have fun again. Halo Infinite feels like a chore to play. It makes us stressed and angry. We want a company that actually loves Halo and cares about the 20 year fans. Most importantly, we want the game to work. We can’t go 5 more years without desync getting fixed. We need competent developers with transparency and no excuses.
It’s not much to ask. We just want Halo back.
This is kinda ironic considering that you seem to bash the games yourself. I want to see content that has love and soul in it; something that you can tell was made by people who care about the game and who want it to be enjoyable. Also a game that isn’t chasing every new trend and locking everything behind micro transactions.
I want a Halo game that runs at 120+FPS with all the features that existed in older Halo games. A brand new Halo game should not have less customization/less features than a game that came out 15 years ago.
Problem is all those posts that are being advertised will go to all the people that talk the most rubbish and the people hiring them don’t give a damn about Halo.
Edit: I want 343 to have a better HR department!
I can’t wait to see the civil and thoughtful discussion to come out of this one lmao
A game that works and has the modes from other games and a server browser. What are YOU looking for?
Can I like this 1000 times? You said that perfect. That’s all we want. Remember sword lunging out of the map in a multiplayer game in halo 2 Zanzibar? The best. Get in the rafters of the shotgun room in halo 3 cold storage? That’s what we want.
I want Halo 3 ver2.0.
Basically take Halo 3, remaster it, add new equipment and weapon and vehicles, add new armors, add new maps.
Basically what Halo 3 MCC did but with better graphics, Firefight, and enhanced forge mode.
IMHO the only thing that Halo 1,2,3,4 needed was a face lift! That’s it! If the 343i had the same grafix in Halo MCC that is in Halo Infinite, Halo MCC would be PERFECT!!! FACT!! ![]()
4 had pretty decent graphics as does 2A. CEA and Reach aren’t that bad either. But I would also like to see halo 3 and ODST remastered with newer graphics. It’s not that I don’t like the original graphics, just that this would look much nicer with newer graphics and maybe even a new engine.
Maybe because whoever is making the calls for the game is the wrong person/people for the job. It’s like hiring a Dev that can code. Just because someone can code doesn’t mean they are the right one for the job.
I also will not take 343 unprofessional attitude trying to pin their asinine decisions for the game on the community. Infinite is supposed to be Halo, you know the actual creators, the original Bungie that created one of the best games for it’s time, that were gamers that knew what they were doing?
Halo today is ran by people that literally don’t play their own product and it literally shows throughout the entire game.
What do I want? I want an actually full studio that has full time employees that cares about the quality of the work they produce, and wants to make a game for their player base. Not this so-call business that only cares about pleasing their Streamers/shareholders BS.
I agree 100% here is 20 more chars! ![]()
Who are you talking to? I get the general “Waypoint is whiny and overly critical” point and agree with it to a degree, but it’s not as though there isn’t a diversity of opinions for many (most) topics on here.
To address the question of what individual players “actually want,” it’s important to know that there will be a lot of different answers to that, even (maybe especially) among very critical fan circles.
Personally, I want more PvE content. Yes, the bare necessity of a Mission Select would be super welcome as a means to boost replay value for the campaign, but I’d personally like even more to see the return of something like a classic Reach Firefight experience, myself.
I don’t think that’s what’s best for the overall health of the game going forwards as a first step, though. The amount of content variety (maps and modes) needs dramatic expansion and the player engagement experience (battlepass and challenges, cosmetics economy) needs to be massively overhauled IMO before the tone starts to radically improve here on Waypoint.
Although to be fair, there have always been (at least since I joined the Waypoint forums in 2011) and probably always will be a solid number of folks who just come on here to vent and troll.
Well you gotta point there bud. I guess I can delete the statement. But you have to admit it is pretty much relevant. ![]()
It’s the way many political administrations around the world and throughout history do/have done things.
I just want them to fix the issues around the core game play. Desync etc.
The basic game play is superb. It’s just let down by the inconsistencies.
I want more content. I guess, who doesn’t. But a few more maps and some more playlists would be welcome.
I want more options in customs. I don’t know why we can’t choose starting equipment?
I want Forge. I want to get my hands on scripting. I want to see what all the talented forgers out there can do.
But most of all. I want, and am very happy to, keep playing Infinite.
There’s a lot I want such as more MP/Campaign content, separate progression from BP, scrap F2P, etc. However, even when someday all or some of these have finally arrived, the hype to put it simply, is gone for me.
Being the Halo fan I am, I have high expectations for anything Halo along with the emotional equity I’ve put into and have for this series. I truly think F2P was the downfall of this game. You take an entire fanbase who’s used to getting much more for their money (and quality) with each game to only strip the newest iteration to its bare bones in an attempt to “modernize” and maximize profits. Come to find out, you’ve alienated a large chunk of the existing fanbase and haven’t released enough to please the new fans.
Halo is a victim of this new industry standard of releasing games before they’re complete, F2P, and doing its best attract a new audience. It saddens me that there were so many missteps and the developers went in this direction.
I agree 100% with your original reply ![]()
