WHAT DO WE GET FOR BEING BETA TESTERS?

Paying BETA testers for that matter.

Between yourselves and MS you’ve released an unfinished game - READ NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. And by that I mean enjoyable entertainment being its purpose.

The one that personally ticked me off was while playing the campaign and noticing a game halting bug in mission 5 reclaimer, when you get the message to board the covenant ship, all the marines jump out of the warthogs, run up the hill to the ship and when you look up NOTHING THERE! now I’m stuck between kill boxes, unable to progress through the level or move back. Played the mission through several times with the same result.

These forums are full of bug reports - armour not unlocking after completing on Legendary, falling through the floor, broken theater, broken forge, Online servers that have been down at least 3 times since launch. Its seems obvious that we are being used as your BETA testers - only I never agreed to be that. I spent my hard earned money pre-ordering your game in faith that it would deliver a relatively bug free enjoyable experience - WE HAVE HAD ANYTHING BUT.

Serious question 343, what do you think our time is worth when it comes to pointing out all the BUGS in this game? You’re apparently giving players in some parts of the world who played the game before 20/11/12 a spec code, HOW ABOUT SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR EVERYONE WHO UNWITTINGLY BECAME YOUR BETA TESTERS WHEN THEY BOUGHT THIS UNFINISHED GAME? Every player who’s played the game before the first real bug fix (that addresses at least 90% of all the known issues) gets something as a thank you?

We get the privilege of repeating the process when it’s time to pre-order halo 5 and buy Dew-rito’s products, and the joy of being told to stop complaining by fanboy brown-nosed plebs.

Exactly this!!!

Well not me, I enjoyed Halo upto this game - but then I hardly ever pre-order, I made an exception for H4 because I believed that MS would put its full weight behind a flagship AAA game that was going to promote XBL and the next gen-consoles leading into H5 & H6 and do it right, but if this game is a glimps of whats to come count me out.

x2.

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET

How about A Spoonfull of Blamite and some more spilt milk to cry over.

As someone who has beta tested before, the bugs in this game are nowhere near beta test bad. Nor are they any worse than most games released in the last year or so. (Or even in the history of Halo itself)

If you think this game is bad and bugs are not being handled well, then speak up. Stop playing the game, write a letter to 343/Microsoft and explain why you do not like the game and will not be continuing to play it and don’t purchase the DLC.

You, and our community, gain nothing by you acting like a few minor bugs are making this game unplayable to the point where we need to be compensated for it.

So basically, MS/343i have pulled the exact same stunt which EA/DICE have done with BF3…

You know what, that actually sounds about right.

343i… until you fix the pile of poop called War Games, and get rid of the F***ING MODDERS!!!.. I’ll be spending most of my time on Reach.

> We get the privilege of repeating the process when it’s time to pre-order halo 5 and buy Dew-rito’s products, and the joy of being told to stop complaining by fanboy brown-nosed plebs.

So, if we don’t complain we are a fanboy brown-nosed pleb, if we do complain then we are clearly the superior race.

Got it.

Let’s all be more biased and cry about everything possible, just so we don’t become fanboys.

Why not go to the poeple that write the reviews of the game. i’m sure if enough of us started to ask why they dont review the game say 2 weeks after release, an check game forums an do a full report on the true game(how it is after release). if you seen on the front cover of the latest xbox mag a daming report 343 or said game maker would have to start doing something about it. that said it would take a lot of us to do it, to get them to listen

we are kept hidden on these forums i never see a bad thing about any game any where. all i see is how great it is.

we all need to go to the press in 1 form or another find your fav game mag or paper on the net, find the contact them bit an send them a message or write to them ask them to report it so this is out in the world. its not just this game its all of them, they have all startd to give us unfinished games THIS IS NOT WHAT WE PAY FOR. would you put up with a new car that constantly stopped working every 10 mins this is the same thing. they make millions of us.

I wouldn’t mind a keychain or a hoodie or something.

If you are a part of Xbox Live Rewards then you will get paid for playing Halo 4.
100 MSP for 30+ Hours of Halo 4 Matchmaking
300 MSP for 70+ Hours of Halo 4 Matchmaking
600 MSP for 140+ Hours of Halo 4 Matchmaking

100 MSP for spending 1500 MSP on Halo 4 in Xbox Live Marketplace
200 MSP for spending 3000 MSP on Halo 4 in Xbox Live Marketplace

You happy now?

> THIS IS WHAT YOU GET

That video made my day. Thanks.

^ That video is gold, only thing is there was nothing in black & white on my game about it having game stopping bugs or severe drops in frame rate so not really applicable - but it did make me smile.

Sarcasm right?

4200msp costs £30 here, so 1msp = 0.007p

600msp for 140hrs = 0.03p per hour, most of us would agree that our time is worth more then that sorry.

This isn’t a fair thread. Beta testing would imply some sort of final product is in the works. Beta testing would imply that 343 are listening and patching problems. Australians (+other ‘regional’ players) are still sitting on their thumbs unable to play matchmaking for no search-by-connection option.

-Yoink!- is really pushing it now.

They seem to think all people care about are MP. That’s CoD’s thing. Halo is about campaign and MP equally.

You get to whine about it on the forums. Congratulations.

I didnt realize we were playing a beta…dude honestly if you dont like the game why play it?

To be honest I’m also pretty annoyed that the game is as glitchy as it is, while not true to call it a Beta it is true to say that 343 never did a public beta and we are now feeling the effects of that.

It would be good of 343 to acknowledge the condition the game is in, and those that are asking for it to be fixed, as the saying goes “value those that complain because they are the ones that care, those that say nothing just quietly leave.”

Sadly I think it is infact 343 that have quietly left, they have not engaged us on the forum 1 iota, so no there will be public acknowledgement of the issues or their core fanbase, gamers will get nothing - not so much as even a weapon skin for their trouble - all they will get will be the offer to buy some more DLC.

Why do I play it? because there is diamond in the rough there - it needs to be refined but will it ever be? - That video that’s circulating said it best when they said that the game is like a dimond covered in s***, the painful thing is it could be so good.

Anyway I’ve also paid money, so i’ll get what enjoyment I can for a while, the store won’t take it back now so I’m somewhat stuck with H4 for a while.
