With the exception of either of the halo wars games I’ve started most of the campaigns on either heroic or legendary
Heroic for starters to get the feel of the enemies then do a Solo legendary run
Normal if I play it by myself first. Legendary if with friends.
Normal to get a feel for new weapons. Easy is for little -Yoinks!- (unless practicing speedrunning because halo has an amazing speed running community at halo runs)
Probably just normal to get the feeling of probably the new controls and try out the new engine and then after that do the legendary run. Both (or at least legendary) on solo if thats important.
That is if I get the game.
I’m first gonna play on Normal to understand the gameplay and weapons and after I finish my first run…
…I’m gonna skip straight to Legendary and prepare for the potential torture the game may throw at me.
I always start on Easy. That way there’s very minimal risk while I explore the map, take it all in, and gather the storyline. Then I bump it up for serious play-throughs and challenges.

I usually start with normal just to get used to the game, then I play on the harder difficulties
I always start on Heroic. Cause Heroic is equal parts challenge as well as allowing story. I’ll usually play a few times more on normal before attempting a legendary run.
I always start on normal. Then I usually try to beat it on legendary.
Chalk up one more for the Heroic camp. Probably do 1 or 2 more breakthroughs on that difficulty (possibly have one of them be co-op with a buddy) before moving onto solo Legendary.
I always go for Normal and then Legendary, with the exception of Halo 4 when I went Legendary on my first play through. It wasn’t very enjoyable and knights were very frustrating. So with Halo 5 I decided to go back to the Normal -> Legendary runs.
I’ll be doing the same with Halo Infinite.
When I get the game for the first time I usually start it off playing on normal just to see the story with out problems
I always start on normal to just enjoy the story, then I do another playthrough on easy to get all the collectibles and really explore everything without having to worry about dying, then I go and beat it on legendary.
Depends, I did H3, ODST and Reach on legendary, don’t think i could do that as comfortably first time yet alone now on CE and 2. i’ll start legendary and if it kicks me to the curb then i’ll bop it down to heroic.
