What did you guys break?

This makes 0 sense to me. I didn’t even have this rough of a time at the “beta” release.

I crash on launch, I crash in the menus, I crash in the lobby, I crash at the pre/post-game loading screen and I crash in game. All I do is crash. I spend more time crashing than playing right now.

I crash out of 2/3 of my games and I’m playing at this point just to get back the CSR that I lost from the crashes.

Seriously what did you guys break?

It happens with the Xbox App (MS Store) and Steam both. HD Textures off, as always. No settings changed what so ever. Literally went all of January and February with 0 crashes. I would start the game, and have 0 crashes in back to back to back 10 hour gaming sessions.

Now? 2 minutes in I crash.

I’m getting real tired of this update. What did it actually accomplish other than breaking the game more?

Are you playing on PC or Xbone? If yes then yea, you’re out of luck. The optimization for these systems are absolutely horrid.

You can try running the game on low settings with only ultra slapped on for texture and the game should still be serviceable. It worked well for me for the most part but the Feb 24 patch caused me many back to back crashes during Fiesta in particular which seriously makes me want 343 to stop touching Infinite until they can bring people in who actually know how to fix the game.

I run it on low, and the only customization I made to the low preset was turning decals down to low as well. Because they’re not set to low with the low preset.

I’m on PC.

I had 0 issues basically from January 1st - February 24th.

This update/reset that came February 24th broke it and literally made it unplayable.

I have to quit the game every 5 matches because its frozen in game or in the lobby . Also there is weird glitches like i melee with my left hand when im pulling the trigger for a weapon . Or nothing happens when I try and through a granade . Also my hammers hurt nothing still .

This is all part of the new anti cheat system
People can’t cheat if they can’t play

Jokes aside, everyone is having this issue
Mint Blitz even posted about it

343 is doing a great job at delaying the game until Season 2
Just keep breaking everything to avoid focusing on content

So PC players are experiencing major stability issues which only seem to be getting worse…and yet, we’re supposed to believe that crossplay (ie platform based not input based) isn’t contributing to the desync issue felt by PC and console players alike?! Yeah right!

The game crashed a ton of times during all the offline LAN HCS streams on consoles too, so Halo Infinite is basically the equivalent of seeing how many bones you can break in your legs, and still keep walking. This game just needs to go offline for 6 months and release with Forge and stable gameplay. This game is not running right, it’s not even walking, it’s struggling to limp. Every single update breaks something new.

I agree. I even made a thread (which got derailed and locked by some people petty bickering about something completely non related to my thread) about it stating that 343i should officially announce and roll Halo Infinite back to Beta whilst they address and resolve all issues behind the scenes. Leave the game as it is with minimal live support under the banner of “Beta” is perhaps the best option for them at this stage.

With regards to what I posted above, I believe it is “contributing” and isn’t the sole reason for desync issues. When the PC platform is completely unstable it is reasonable and logical to suggest that this is creating stability issues for everyone in game regardless of their platform. That’s not to say it’s not unstable and desync wouldn’t exist in console only (as clearly demonstrated at HCS) as the truth is that the cause is most likely deep rooted in the game and net code by the virtue of trying to make the game capable of crossplay. If this game was developed with console only and PC only versions then I doubt we’d be seeing as many issues as we are.

This game played best during the technical preview weekends.

Every time 343 adds or changes something, the game gets worse.

I can’t believe the problem is worse now, i crashed a lot even before the last update. fixing the crashes was supposed to be a top priority but i don’t even see it listed in the “know issues” section

Yeah it’s not just you. I could count the number of crashes I had through the tech previews and up until now on one hand, but now the game crashes multiple times a day. I played for a couple hours over the weekend and crashed 3 times within a 60 min play session.

It’s clearly an issue, I don’t know why they refuse to come out and acknowledge it.

I keep getting auto replies from 343i support. This dates back from December when first opened a ticket about crashing on PC. Just got one now…

Hi ItzTheDay,

The development team released an update for Halo Infinite. The update does not include a fix for your issue, but we’re following up with you to ensure that the behavior you reported is still occurring as you originally described. Please reply and tell us if you are still experiencing the same issue in the new build.

You can learn more about this update by viewing the patch notes here: https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/4478000980116

If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we’ll close this ticket. If you encounter the issue after this ticket has already been closed, please submit a new ticket. Thanks!

Halo Agent Roma

Had one of them too but from “ Halo Agent Casablanca”…genuinely can’t be bothered to reply.

Word for word, right? Copy and paste tech support for ya.

All you have to do is say it’s still there. I got two back like that, quick 5 minute check, sent back a “Yep, still does it” and that was that. Claimed it was logged with the devs. We’ll see if anything ever comes of it, but at least I’m making them use their system and not close the case out on me lol

I rarely have any crashing issues. I’m on the old school Xbox series S.
