What did halo 5 do right?

I see a myriad of threads bad mouthing halo 5 and pointing out what’s wrong with it.

What did, in your opinion, halo 5 do right? What would you like to see carried over to halo 6?

Recoil animation (that much of recoil shouldn’t be happened in future, but whatever) is all I have to say about this game’s goodness. Oh another thing, ability to switch seats in vehicle.

Did u really just make an identical post of mine

Make the Halo world live again.

Didn’t see your post. Not identical though. This thread is open to everyone; not just “haters”.

Be prepared for people slamming me and my misinterpreted post

Thrusters are cool. Switching seats in vehicles is cool. Some other things are cool but I can’t be asked to think of them right now.

I enjoy the stuff Halo 5 brought to the table.

Forge is getting some truly excellent praise, thruster and clamber are nice additions, matchmaking preferences are nice but I hope for H6 they go for full on server selection, a return to even starts, warzone is a pretty cool/fun mode, multiplayer is really smooth I’m glad they aimed for 60fps, the weapon balance is really good.

Weapons and movement.

Halo 5’s version of the magnum is one of my favorite guns in the franchise, it reminds me a lot of my actual favorite gun in Halo, the HaloCE pistol. The speed of the bullets on the BR and the smaller reticle makes it feel more like the pistol as well. All the precision weps have that feel, the carbine, and light rifle are solid too. Carbine is a headshot machine with its fast rate of fire, and the light rifle has great range. Auto’s like the AR and suppressor have very good TTK, and stronger auto’s like the SMG and storm rifle are like mini power weps up close. If you’re in a small room like Pink 2 in Truth and someone has a storm rifle its a problem, but its not impossible to outplay. Buffs to guns like the needler, and the sword making your speed increase, even when holding the flag for example, are cool. Its not perfect, but its very solid.

Flying is the coolest new addition to Halo in 5, it feels kind of like strafe jumping in Quake, especially going off an incline and jumping again at the bottom once or twice, and all the variations of it are great. Like sliding in, grabbing a flag or power wep, and thrusting back. Juggling the flag is more fun now that you can slide, thrust, and toss it around. Stabilizing after flying and getting super high is a neat trick. I do that in WZ all the time, you can get to the 2nd floor of Garage from tunnel on ARC with that trick;) The depth of jumping in Halo 5 is awesome. Clambering around Truth and Regret can get insane, and I still miss the jump from ledge to treehouse on Fathom all the time. There are so many useful jumps of all kinds in this game, and what I mean by that is there are tons of easy, medium, and hard jumps that are actually practical.

Those two things make actually playing the game really fun.

Spartan abilities, and forge…I felt like a super soldier plowing through enemies left and right…REQ would have been okay but having armor emblems and stances in there kind of -Yoinked!- the game…free maps. 343i has dumbed down HALO never go backwards…They did it with TMCC and H5G…But I really enjoyed spartan charge…boost stabilize etc…I wish it was rated M though and the spartan abilities made you more like a tank…I am saying under certain conditions or in general it would be cool is SC could flip an incoming warthog when charged from the side or not at maximum speed…I also wish I could have spartan charged through the flood etc…I really liked spartan charge…I liked how many assassinations we got this time…There are things. I would keep in this HALO title and things I would keep from the last HALO titles also. One thing I would improve is it’s physics…Compared to the last Trilogy this game suffers in certain areas graphics and physics wise…and it is most definitely at a compromise compared to previous titles…unfortunately. But so was TMCC it may have had “all” of the games but it was bugged out had a horrible launch and missing content not to mention the games lack of the original controls and how 343i bailed out H2A’s multiplayer…and neglected to put a file browser into the game and do maintenance on the game all together.

Normally I dislike most things about H5 but I guess the few things that I did like:
Campaign had an offline mode. (Sadly nothing else did. -_-)

I couldn’t think of anything else.

Warzone! I have never had so much fun as I had in Warzone Firefight!

Spartan Abilities, I love them all. Huge variety of weapons that are well balanced. Incredible sound effects. Warzone, all 3 modes. Love Arena too, so much fun. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few…what can I say I really like the game lol.

343 actually tightened bullet spread for all precision weapons unlike bungie, so people have an opportunity to cross map without the worry of randomness because of spread. Their forge is amazingly powerful despite its high learning curve. They also made automatics useful, even if they are OP. But that’s all I can think of.

I think that Halo 5 had some pretty good weapon diversity.

kept all of the cod female dogs away

In my opinion, Halo 5 did Grifball right. The new Spartan abilities work really well in Grifball. I like the REQ weapons, such as The Answer and Ad Victoriam; although using all my REQ energy on just one powerful weapon is freaking lame. I also like that Firefight was brought back for Halo 5, even if it was resurrected in its worst possible form.
