What did halo 5 do right and wrong

I have seen a lot of videos saying what halo 5 has done wrong. But i want to know what its done right. I personally love the game apart from the story. and i want to know from
people other than the top halo YouTubers opinions. I think it that it has the best super fiesta with all the req variants

Off the top of my head…
Graphics: It’s a beautiful-looking game.
Weapon Balance: Each weapon has its own strengths and lends towards a certain style of play, none of them are useless.
Mobility: Clamber, sprinting, quick dodging, we can actually move around the battlefield like a super-soldier.

Sangehelios does look quite nice

The graphics look amazing the various planets we see have amazing backgrounds . I also like the potential of the sprint ability as well as a few other armor abilities like evade maybe even a return of a sentry turret to distract enemies. I really loved the multiplayer part of halo 5 the best it’s really fun to be able to fight enemy aid while at the same time fighting enemy players.

It had an amazing forge and custom games. and as much as I dislike it’s gameplay, the gameplay was very smooth and seamless and flowed very well.

and some smaller thing like seat switching and the fact that vehicles are harder to flip over

I personally like the armor customization that Halo 5 had. Req Packs probably weren’t the way to go, but at least it’s still cosmetic.

Well probably weapon balance was done right…not saying it was perfect or even all weapons were great as the H5BR was never quite right IMO. But most weapons had their time and place for use. The H5AR was great. It was nice to finally have a useful AR in multiplayer. Ground pound was done right and was good to use. It had to be timed right with a charge up before you could use it… Spartan charge on the other hand was lame…it should have been charge up and aim like ground pound. I wish I could say they got more right but they really didn’t. They made the Spartans faster and more agile but yet the majority of the arena maps were tiny and catered to CQC type play. Also little to no map diversity, way to many remixes. Warzone had potential but wasnt that great. The maps were well done but the enemy AI were stupid and just bullet sponges. Teams could just ignore the majority of them if they wanted too. Warzone firefight was a step down from Reach’s firefight. We see so much of what H5 got wrong because realistically they didn’t get much right with it. The req system had some potential but they crammed everything in it and left nothing to be earned.

You ready cause Im
What they got right- Warzone despite the minimal amount of maps variety and the A.I. controlled opponents just needed to be competent buy hey halo had poor A.I that need superficial difficulty anyway.
What they got right- The movement mechanic made the spartan like visceral feel right and YES im not a fan of OLD.
What they got wrong- The Story Im not about to go into a long form essay breakdown of it either.

So, just what it did right?

Forge is the best in the series despite lack of accessibility, the community features are potentially the best in the (console) market, the freedom given to players to create gametypes leads to great modes like Mythic, and the game seems to never drop below 60fps.

There are other things (such as different assassination animations adding character to each Spartan), but those aren’t really noteworthy to me.

When they did the weapons tune that made the H5 BR trash… That’s pretty much when I stopped playing. In 2019, I started playing again pretty much daily. But took about two years off because it’s absolute garbage now.

In what world would a .50 caliber PISTOL, out gun a 5.56 three round burst RIFLE?!?!??!

That’s something that 343 really screwed up.

343 has done a very good job making forge…more creative ive seen countless great prefabs and maps.To add to halo 5’s glows,i like the custom browser and how spartans can socialise, have fun or promote their clan/company

Yeh what do u think it did better than the other halos

I love halo 5 but the 4v4 game is weak and seriously lacking. Theres not much variety in the basic arena playlists. Same weapon starts. The map selection keeps getting smaller with each update it seems. And the vehicles. Where the -Yoink- are they. I mean we’ve had small scale vehicle mayhem in every major halo game. They added a sort of mini objective to the game when the only objective was to kill other Spartans. Also, and this is not halo 5’s fault. But the absence of mics across the board has left a very shallow team play experience. I hate it. I wish they’d bring back proximity chat from halo 2. That feature had everyone in the house wanting a mic

Well, imo the gameplay is really smooth and customizable things like assassinations and weapons skins were not bad.

I think they did a really solid job on the multiplayer. Far better than 4 and Reach’s. Well balanced, everyone has the same capabilities. I think Warzone is a very fun casual addition to the series. It was something unique with PvPvE. I like the huge amount of customization options, if not so much how you unlock them. The campaign’s a mess, but I think 343 did a pretty solid job on everything else. Between this and the Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer, I think Infinite’s MP will be pretty good. Fingers crossed on the campaign.

A couple of my favorite things are: the graphics, audio, the forge, the multiplayer, and probably my favorite thing about it is the custom games.

no, you actually feel like a well, a SPARTAN

anyone agree?

Seat-swapping in vehicles is great.

The pistol is a balanced utility weapon.

Forge has a lot of depth.

Breakout.

Sound of the assault rifle.

I’m sure there are a few more things, but it even fails at the basics, such as UI. That needs a complete overall for Infinite.

They messed up the campaign, fire team Osiris and blue team are a joke. And the Spartans look like power rangers
I do think the multiplayer (especially infection) are really fun though. I also liked the weapon skin idea.
