What Defines Halo Multiplayer to You?

Pretty straightforward. Tell everyone what you think makes Halo a better multiplayer game than others, or if you don’t, you can say that too, even though I’m not really sure why you would devote yourself to a Halo forum and actively go onto the multiplayer threads page if that were the case. I want to hear everyone’s opinion, is what I’m saying.

Shields.

Shields increase your ability to control the game in every fight. They also determine how and when you use your weapons, and when you attack.

The other attribute of halo I really enjoy is the game’s adaptability (creating gametypes and maps). Reach may have taken this too far, because now it seems no one has a common ground, but I still enjoyed the game immensely for it.

Hectic fights with grenade tossing, AR spammers and jumping lots of jumpy rainbow guys punching each other to death.

Physics, game physics. No other game has such an amazing engine. That, tactic team gameplay and the custom potential (forge and gametypes).

The crazy, chaotic, varied gameplay is what makes Halo MM so much fun to me.

vehicles

The one v one battles vs randoms. There is always some one better then you so improvement is always there. Its not a 1 sided game. No scopes, physics, amazing theater mode replays. Cant live with theater mode after every game to see what you can improve on during your game play!

Variety.

Vehicles, weapons, and game types.

It’s what makes Halo have lasting appeal.

Seven foot tall futuristic super soldiers in power armor fighting to the death. Of course.

Also, no iron sights, no customizable load outs, no attachments. Basically, it speaks to my PC FPS gaming roots (it’s virtually a slowed down copy of quake), and it’s NOT realistic. Seriously, if you want realistic shooting join the -Yoinking!- military. Realism in games=idiotic.

Well, it used to be vehicles, but Reach kinda ruined that for me.

Rocket Race, do you see it anywhere else in the world? No, unique to Halo only… mainly Halo 3.

The easy to play, hard to master formula.

Though it’s been butchered with H3 and Reach. Here’s hoping it returns in it’s full glory in H4.

STICKY NADES!

What defines Halo Multiplayer for me is the use of vehicles in the games that you can still combat with varying difficult on foot. The futuristic weapons that seems to related directly to weapons used in modern times somehow. And the fact that you can play on your own creations.
