Title sort of says it all but I am curious what CSR will you really start to top out without a fireteam in team slayer? I feel like in team arena you can’t compete without a fireteam but I am curious to everyone’s thoughts in team slayer.
I know there are people way better than me that solo grind through Onyx in slayer… highest I have gotten is Diamond 3 I think.
I’d love for them to make a mercenary playlist for all of us who hop into mm solo.

I don’t feel as though there is any certain CSR that you must roll with a fireteam. However I think what needs to change is your play style depending on whether you are with one or not. I have solo queued Onyx slayer and stomped other teams then gotten stomped then I’ve rolled 4 deep with my three friends who are onyx and diamond 6 and we have stomped others and gotten stomped all the same.
Halo 5 is so much more focused on teamwork to succeed than other halos before it. the way to win games in slayer in any CSR bracket is to have a mic and be making callouts even if nobody is talking or has a mic, if there’s a guy on your team struggling and you’re in first place then find him and hang out with him and help him to succeed. The team that is going to win more is the team that doesn’t have the guy at the bottom that goes 5-13. Not saying I have never been that guy but when I am it causes my team to lose.
The best way I can say it is if you want to help yourself, help your team.
Thanks for the reply and yea it seems mic is pretty key. Even when no one is using it at first if I’ve been calling out and we start losing it seems others will jump on then the game will start to change.
Not really a good question, it varies drastically. I can solo grind to mid onyx in slayer. But that is probably not the case for everyone.
I guess the best answer would be: slightly lower than where’d you get with consistent teammates who callout.

You don’t need any CSR. The ranking system will match you up against suitable opponents based on your skill.
