What configuration you use in elite controller?

I use
jump, crouch, boost and run in paddles and the right stick is smooth.

whats your configuration?

whats the difference in the sticks configuration? Which is better?

Fishsticks button layout
Sen: 4
Acc: 1
Deadzones: 0
Left top paddle: Thrust
Left lower paddle: Jump
Right top paddle: Melee
Right lower paddle: Crouch
Left stick: Default/ short stick
Right stick: Aggressive/ tall stick

Still playing around with right stick configuration but so far This has been the sweet spot

Default controls, and I have the paddles mapped to the four face buttons (x-y-a-b).

Personally I think any other button customization is superfluous. This layout allows access to every button and action needed other than switching grenades without taking your fingers off the joysticks.

I haven’t really fiddled with trigger settings because I don’t truly understand what I would be changing, and haven’t had time to research what the settings do.

Boxer

I have a Scuf but it’s pretty much the same things

Left trigger: Melee
Right trigger: Shoot
Left Bumper: Thruster Pack
Right Bumper: Grenade
Y: Switch Weapon
X: Reload/Pick Up Weapon
Far left paddle: Jump
Far Right Paddle: Sprint
Left Stick: Crouch
Right Stick: Scope

Raised Kontrol Freek on Right stick
Regular height on Left stick

I can’t use the paddles. I’ve tried, but they end up messing me up. I’ve been playing Halo for what seems like 80 years now, and jump is “A” and reload is “X” … I just can’t retrain my brain to use those damn paddles. lol. I know they’re supposed to make it easier, but they do the opposite for me. I only bought the controller because the Xbox One controllers are garbage that keep breaking on me (and it’s not due to poor treatment of them, my 360 controllers lasted ages) I have three Xbox One controllers, two of which have faulty right analog sticks and one (one of the newer Master Chief ones) has a bad left bumper that broke and fell out (yeah, it fell out). So I bought the Elite controller because it’s solid and I got it through a retailer that offered a 2-year warranty instead of the standard 3-month Microsoft “lol” warranty.

TLDR: I’m 2 dumb 2 use paddles, but that’s not why I got the Elite controller. I do like using the tall analog stick just on the right for looking and accuracy, though.
