While you may be correct about it, I think the sting will subside once the level 5’s are done and people really get antsy to have the pieces for themselves.

Yes I agree here. Pretty much everyone that has it atm has farmed for it. My company is making good progress and is getting close (without farming) however, the Achilles armour has now been tainted as armour worn by unsportsmanlike farmers who can’t get any kills without REQs or a whole team behind them. When they are on their own they are harmless (try catching one at the start of the game without their REQs or team, 1v1, I guarantee you that you will kill them 90% of the time). They crutch on REQs so hard it’s laughable, even when they have a full team and are versing a team of unorganised casuals, they still need REQs to get kills.

I would have the mostly disagree. Out of two of the three teams I’ve played with in the past, players were divided into the ones who were better slayers, and the ones who weren’t. Former team would be the ones initially rushing, latter would be the ones capping. If you continuously came across players that you could outskill 90% of the time, I’m quite sure they weren’t an organized and/or balanced team.
I’ve also seen more battle rifle and DMR kills than anything else in my plays, save for tanks and banshees later on in the game.

You wouldn’t have. At least not by any of the members that have the HWM tag. The only times it may “seem” like we are farming are when we have trouble coordinating a push or people play good Defence. The simplest way you can tell is because we still go for all the bosses to end the game quicker if we can’t get a push into your core room.
I’m just going to wait until another variant for Achilles to be released. Nah I’m just kidding as I don’t see what’s so special about this armour.
(Does it shoot rainbow colored laser beams from the visor and make grunt birthday party noises whenever you get a kill because if so that would be pretty cool.)
