What color coating would you like to see in Infinite

Apparently everything so far is not worth 5 bucks. So what color coating pattern is worth it? Is it only because the colors sold are too consistent or are there really colors that are worth more than black and blue so far?

maybe 2 or 3 coatings that are in a bundle (AND CROSS CORE) would be worth like 5 bucks.

Would love to see some asymmetric coatings or some more designs that take advantage of patterns like the camo ones.

So far the coating system has been incredibly rudimentary for the way they talked it up to be. If 343 did sacrifice simple primary/secondary color schemes for this, I’d love to see some creativity that goes beyond the simple primary/secondary color schemes we have.

I would like to see a Black-&-Gold armor coating. I always wore those colors since Halo 2, so it would be nice to get my style back.

Preferably, I would like it to be like the Iron-Man Armor Coatings, only replace the red with a Steel-Onyx Black, but make the paint a matte texture rather than a polished one. Though the gold remains polished.

Then I could get my bois of Fireteam Phoenix to be back in uniform!

But is Black and gold a color worth five bucks? Or will people look at it and still say “Five bucks for black and yellow?”

But thats 5 bucks in quantity. Im talking about quality. But if you want to go that route, if they gave you 3 shades of blue for 5 bucks, is it worth it for you now?

This is avtually what I agree with. Halo 5 had these armore variations when you put colors together, it can create different patterns or stripes. I think thats something that can make armor coatings more unique, especially textures.

Make it a Universal Armor Coating that is available for all armor cores.
Similar to how in Rainbow Six Siege there are universal skins for all the guns to use.

That’s kinda what I anticipated when they had brought the idea up. But it seems like it’s an ambitious system that ultimately just falls flat upon first impressions.

I believe its because the armor in this game are so simple and not diverse from each other, they just look the same. Some moment the accessories are so small, it doesnt look like theres enough room to customize patterns. Talking about those shoulders, wrists, and knee pads.

Would love more options in brown and gold.

Like the blue and gold one in the store last week… but with brown instead of blue.

But yes, if they were to redo the system… I would sell the coatings as patterns that you could apply to an armour set. Then you take a colour coating and splash it onto that armour/pattern.

Both the patterns and the splashings can be single use - so there is plenty of scope to earn/sell them.

Would you think the idea of colors seperate pieces of armor instead of the whole armor whole? Or would that be too grindful?

What do I want to see? I want to see a -Yoink!- color wheel for each channel. There is no excuse for coatings other than greed when a failure of a game like Anthem had a functional version 3 years ago.

That’s a tricky one.

While I’m sure there are a lot of creative people out there who could do a lot with that ability… I’m sure it would be drowned out by even more people taking the -yoink- with it.

Would the option of combining coatings together scratch the itch?

Camos inspired by real life camo patterns from different countries ( and biomes ) and stuff like the cool camos from Metal Gear Solid where you could change your camos to blend in with the terrain

Vanguard’s camo patterns based on real life WWII patterns and a huge variety of European biomes and foliage types are quite amazing, and some would look good on Spartans

Speaking of Rainbow Six series, I hope they make a Vegas sequel with the Gears style cover system.

Rainbow Six Vegas was amazing and despite Siege having awesome gadgets and gameplay variety, Vegas had an awesome flow and feel to it

add some black accents and we’ll call it a deal.

CLEAN coatings. Like the HCS kit armor coatings. Here are some fan made clean coatings: https://greatfon.com/c/7920950856254706672

I don’t even care about colors anymore. Just as long as they’re clean. Now pretty much every armor coating is dirty. Ugh.

But if I have to choose I like navy blue and black the most I think.

Completely clear coating that’s more translucent than active camo for 000 vbucks
