From what I know there will be some classic weapons returning so which ones should return?
Ar (of course) DMR ( not really classic but maybe without bloom and a new design) SMG?
Spartan Laser, Rocket launcher (Frank said theres a whole new one returning) Shotgun (Yes of course as well) Pistol confirmed ( but to think should it be like Halo Ce, Reach, Halo 2, or 3?
And now that the covenant are showing their faces again: Needle Rifle, Carbine, BEAM RIFLE, spiker, and Forerunner but that can come later.
I sure as hell hope DMR does not make a return in Halo4. DMR is slow as crap and weak weapon at that. Also wanting to see Turret weapon will make a return in a big way. IT is in reach but very weak compared to halo 3.
Personally, I would like to see the Mauler(or “stapler” as it was called by my mates) make a return, as well as the Brute Shot(better than Conc rifle) and the SMG (Silenced maybe?).
Also, any news on Dual Wielding?
Maybe the Halo 2 needler that took some kind of skill not much but a little. The Halo 3 and Reach needler are the easiest weapons to use besides maybe the concussion rifle.
I want the mauler back and the GL from Reach, they are fun to use and add to game play.
As long as the core weapons are still in then I honestly don’t need anything else back. The brute shot was cool but not necessarily and would certainly feel out of place in this game. I would love to see some new, awesome weapons though
@OP If you want certain weapons back, it makes a better case to not list every single weapon ever made.
I really want the Carbine back, or at least a similar rifle with that rate of semi-auto fire.
I also really do not want the Focus rifle back. It was a joke. It barely scrapes through a person’s shields before over-heating, and the cool-down is far too slow.
For the people that don’t want the DMR sorry but it was kinda confirmed. In the bulletin it was said that the BR is not a replacement for the DMR which means it is still in the game hopefully without bloom. Personally I want the DMR just because its another weapon I can use INSTEAD of the AR which I hate but there is another forum for the AR.

Show me exactly where it says the DMR will be in the game. The last time I checked he just says that a single shot precision weapon will still be in the game.
Also the BR could never replace the DMR, since it was the DMR that replaced the BR.

Once again, I am astounded by the sacrifices some people are willing to make in these times. It amazes me that some people can choose the one weapon they really want and support it, not just post a list of all weapons ever designed.
A Classic Weapon? I think you’re talking about weapons in general considering you mentioned the DMR.
If its weapons in general then I’d like the DMR with reduced bloom! FTW
