Based on BWO RazrStorm’s suggestion, I am redesigning this poll into 2 new threads. So IGNORE this one and vote in the new ones.
Sorry for the confusion.
Original post
H4 brings a lot of changes, some of them are from other games (that shall not be named). Almost everyone of them offends some hard core fans of the community. In this thread, I would like to see how people feel about them quantitatively, using polls.
UPDATE 1: One option I forgot to add is “the ability to sprint”.
UPDATE 2: (some explanations on why the poll is set up this way):
> > > I’m a hardcore fan. Where is my option that says i like all of the above?

> > I deliberately left that option out so everybody has to choose one. Otherwise, that option might get the most vote and defeat the purpose of the poll

I hear you. I had to choose the less of the two evils.
Also, I am sure that there will be restricted playlists that take most of these out. The possible exceptions are hitmarker, grenade indicator & no “de-scope”. CTF changes are also non-changeable but they might get patched post-game if they are wildly unpopular. So hardcore fans should focus their voting on these aspects that you can’t choose to ignore.
I dislike Tactical packages, Support packages & Armor Modifications the most, I think. I may like them when I actually utilise them in-game and find out more about them.

I deliberately left that option out so everybody has to choose one. Otherwise, that option might get the most vote and defeat the purpose of the poll

so biast poll is biast? Nice. If you want an accurate reading of the feelings of certain things in a game you need all options. otherwise it becomes a lop sided tool used to show how bad something may be when it really isn’t.

well lets put in this example CTF changes. now your poll doesn’t have the option to say “i like these changes.” so after the voting is done it says 150 voted for disliking the changes. 343 sees the huge number and says “we have a problem here” and makes a change.
Now lets say your poll has the option to say “i like these changes” along with “i dislike these changes” after voting is done 400 votes for liking and 150 disliking. It would show that a group of people dislike the new changes but also let them know there over all decision with the changes is a good change. You need both to get proper results.
the hitmarker grenade indicator and de scope will be in all playlists except classic playlists. and the CTF changes are going to stay. down the road 343 said they might give an option for classic CTF but that is not confirmed. 343 wants this new CTF to stay and it will regardless of how much people may not like it. If they gave classic CTF as an option to begin with no one would even try the other. Things have to be forced to create progress in this community.

That make sense. What I can do is to make the following changes:
Create two polls, 1 like, 1 dislike;
Allow voter to choose multiple answers
I would have to create duplicate posts to get this out. Let me work on that.
I haven’t played the finished game, I don’t have the required data to decide whether I like or dislike the changes. Fundamentally I’m optimistic about it, but like with every game I’ve ever played, I will find things about H4 that I don’t like and embrace the things I do like. I don’t have the same reverence for any(thing) game that many here have. Each Halo game has had things I consider flaws, ranging from reasonably objective, to utterly subjective opinions.
Currently: No knock out scope, more killcams (which is making me suspicious), flag auto pickup and super glue on the flag. Also, the waypoint over flag user.
My opinions are subject to change in the future; everything else is looks fab.
