What Can We Expect From 343i for the Rest of the Year?

@Unyshek Not asking much here. Just the question in the subject line… I truly believe it would do a lot of good to come out and say what’s planned for the future of Halo. New game mode? DLC? Spin-off game? Halo Infinite is a great game, but unfortunately, it launched with very little content. As someone who has followed Halo since day 1, I truly believe you guys have created a great Halo game with a lot of potential. In addition, you have advertised it as “the most expansive/ambitious” Halo game yet, but I am struggling to understand how it is the most expansive Halo game ever created. At least address the rumors of this “Tatanka” game mode. Say something please.

I have no high expectations from 343i anymore. Way too many issues with this game. As all of you guys know all I want is the Custom Game Browser and the Custom Games area fixed. That is all I wish for. Nothing Else!! I know you guys have alot of issues you guys want to get fixed. But I just want the stuff I want fixed that it!!

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

ha ha ha ha ha laughs weakly. Didn’t you see the road map prior to season 2’s release? We’re getting co-op in August, and a forge beta sometime soon. Some modes like infection.

Basically - we’re getting things that should have been there at launch. Cheers to a complete game, one year later!

To be fair, Halo 3 released with 11 maps. Not making an excuse - but if we consider H3 a complete game at launch, then maps wise, Infinite isn’t that far off (to halo 3’s starting point).

It’s more that as a ‘live service’ game, way more maps should be out by this point. And H3 wasn’t even live service but with Forge and other updates, it expanded nicely.

20 is to make up for the fact that the maps in this game are absolute trash. release H3 blows HI out of the water, this game has been in development for nearly 7 years now and its still a beta.

Heh, i hear ya. I’m still playing the game, but this week has been ‘eventful’ (1) with the lack of announcements at the recent Xbox showcase, and many players expressing their deep disappointment, and (2) i finish the season pass with the coming set of weekly challenges. I wonder what’s going to keep me playing. Most of my friends have stopped.

It’s sad, really. I was so, so excited for the entirety of 2021 for infinite’s release. We’ve been witnesses to such a slow crash and burn over these few months.

BTB arrived completely broken and took way too long to fix, honestly what hope does anyone have that forge and custom browser will meet everyone’s expectations and not arrive completely unusable, anything is POSSIBLE. Oh, my dog just spoke his first word … I guess anything IS possible.

Yeah, it would be wise for them to explain their plans, but the actual problem is and it literally shows throughout the entire game. 343 is just winging it, just making things up whether things work or not as the go along.

That’s not a plan, that’s a company that has no clue on what to do or where to go with a game.

That broken BTB phase… that for me was infinite’s lowest. My mates and I would search for a game repeatedly, hoping we’ll get through the lobby. Again and again and again. We had 10 players at one point, now it’s down to 2-4, maybe playing together once a week.

Depressing.

Agreed maps wise there was 10 as H3 had 11. So one less wasn’t bad. What made it bad was the lack of modes. H3 had 9 main game modes with each mode having from 3 to 5 submodes. Where as Halo Infinite has 8 with most games modes only having one per game mode. Halo 5 even had more to offer with multiplayer modes. I honestly would have wished they delayed the game release until at the very least till fall 2022. Halo Infinite didn’t have forge or co-op and we have had game modes added since launch that should have been there on launch. And it is not like they don’t have the game modes. If you go into custom game we have more options there then what we get to play in multiplayer.

All I expect from 343i at this nothing but will still be be disappointed. Maybe they should listen to the community instead of the broader audience?

Literally nothing more than what we already know, which is barely more than nothing

Cool, what about the dozens of other features? Or the many maps released in map packs in the first few months of release?

Limiting it to just maps is an idiot’s argument

When talking about maps, we can’t go back and compare maps and designs from older Halo games, for one of many reasons, the technology from then to now is light and day. Personally, that is one reason Halo Infinite is such a letdown, all the advancements in graphics and special effects and more than double tor Tripple the budget of an Avengers movie, and this is what they came up with.

343 likes to brag about the budget, if I were a shareholder I’d be pissed, but maybe that’s the reason for the focus mainly on the store, 343 wasted so many resources, and shareholders want their money, they don’t care about the game, only the cash.

Need another map, forge, custom game browser, and keep those modes coming. I’ve enjoyed a few of the area capture game modes a lot actually.
