So, after Season 2, what all can we expect?
We’re gonna look at the outcomes reports and take what we know about season 2 and see what the future of Halo gaming looks like.
These are all assumptions, nothing I say here is guaranteed to happen.
So, for season 2-5, what can we expect for Infinite?

- I have lost all hope for Halo

The game will eventually be good. Just would have been better if it launched this November rather than last.

Nice roadmap plan concept list. Now 343 just needs to hire people to plan the plan for the roadmap’s roadmap. Pretty bold of you to assume all of those are “Coming Soon 2023” rather than just Coming Soon™, but I’ll be here for the Forge at the very least. Forge is top priority. Forge is the only content I need. Fixing desync is also top priority. Other than that, they can take all 10 years to do everything else for all I care.

Don’t get ahead of yourself!
They still have to plan to plan to hire people who will then plan the plan for the roadmap’s roadmap to the roadmap, which plans out their roadmap.

All I know is that it’s going to take a very long time for this game to be in the state that most of us expected or would have liked it to be at launch. I’m not even sure if the vision that we have matches that of 343i as they seem to be making it up as they go along.

Honestly, All we can expect from 343 is disappointment. . .
They have repeatedly let the community down since they picked up the “mantle of responsibility” with H4.
From what we have seen, they are going to do and say whatever they need to do in an attempt to reach their “broader audience”. And unfortunately, die hard halo fans are not that audience. So, despite what they actually end up doing, Halo will most likely, hence forward, be a declining title. 343 is not going to backtrack and fix their missteps, nor are they going to refocus on the actual true fanbases opinions.
Unless they do a massive employee (including and especially administration) overhaul, then the people who love Halo and make Halo for Halo fans will never be a thing again.
Just like the new “HALO” show that came out (bloody rotten attempt it is), it is not even a good “shadow” of what Halo actually is. But they’re going to crank out material for money anyway, regardless how far they drive the franchise into the ground…

To be totally honest, they’ve literally burned all their bridges for me so they can say and do all they like but it won’t change a thing as far as I’m concerned. The good weather is fast approaching so my game time will diminish over the next few months anyway…if I do decide to play a game, then I’ll play Elden Ring and may be dip in to Halo Infinite once in a while…but come October/November I’ll be ditching Halo Infinite completely and playing CODMW2. I pretty much guarantee that CODMW2 will be more of a complete title and meet my expectations at launch than Halo Infinite will be a year or so after release.

I have to agree with you minus the COD part. As much of a total success that MW2 was when initially dropped I doubt the new one will generate the same response. But COD usually just makes another game with the same engine and throws some new cosmetics on it (which, meh, people still love COD) like they have been doing every year for over a decade. Its sad that I use to much prefer Halo over COD all day every day, and now we “Halo players” are waiting for a COD release :…(

Let’s be real…if you’re here voting on this…you haven’t lost all hope yet. You’re here…hoping.

Yeah I know what you mean…back in the day most players were either Halo or COD (particularly in the competitive scene in the UK and EU). Personally I’ve always played both, and I would have played Halo Infinite for years to come had they delivered a title worthy of the Halo name…so for me, that leaves the door wide open for CODMW2 (as it was for Halo Infinite at launch with the failures of Vanguard and BF2042).
With regards to COD, we all know they go on rotation and CODMW 2019 has been arguably the most successful FPS in years…and that position was only strengthened with the introduction of COD Warzone. The similarities between the old MW2 and the forthcoming title end with the name…they will be entirely different so any comparisons will end right there. Since then they have released two substandard games in Cold War and Vanguard with the fanbase literally crying out for another Modern Warfare title. With Infinity Ward leading development alongside other studios, the Modern Warfare franchise returning, a new Warzone and a very large expecting fanbase…I just don’t see how this will be anything other than another huge success following on from MW2019.
I suspect we’ll see all the things that Halo Infinite is missing…next gen graphics and animations, immersive gun play, unlimited cosmetics options, a well implemented store, career progression systems, battle pass with good content and earnable CP, challenges with rewards, weapon levelling, full playlists, new modes, strong pool of new and old maps, stable servers that actually prioritise location…it’s literally a mouth watering prospect what they could deliver and I fully expect it to blow Halo Infinite out of the water.

I hope you’re correct. Companies really need to be paying attention to what is going on, and learn to not make the same mistakes.

Halo isn’t the problem and never has been. The problem is 343 trying to turn Halo into something it’s not.
I had a little hope before infinite launched, but 343 smashed that hope when the truth came out about how much they lied. Halo deserves something a hell of a lot better than what 343 can offer, and so far they have shown they really don’t have anything at all to offer.

Lol comparing Halo and COD. Not even close BUD.
It really needed another year or so, even then they could have still taken advantage of how hard CoD Vanguard and BF2042 flopped and come out strong on top.
More delays, more mtx, 2 maps every new season every 6+ months.
I wasn’t comparing Halo and COD or the gameplay…but you must be very small minded if you don’t think Halo Infinite wouldn’t be significantly improved had they implemented even half of the UI and progression features that I have mentioned. All 343i had to do was improve upon the blueprints laid down by many other games available and they would have knocked it out of the ball park…but instead they did an epic fail.
