Well, what do you guys think 343 can do to fix Halo for Halo 4? because honestly even just from watching the trailer I don’t wanna buy a game i won’t play.
I personally think 343 needs to be really careful on what they add and take out of the game. Halo is pretty much dead in my opinion because all of my fellow Halo veterans have quit…or keep playing only because they get payed to play.

Make it like Reach trollface
JK
Stick to the core gameplay, but add stuff to make it fresh. They said in an interview they ARE adding new mechanics.
BTW, how does Halo need to be fixed? Just because of ONE game?

The easiest thing to do is return to the roots of Halo. Make it a true arena shooter. This means all players start with exact same traits, abilities, and weapons. All powerups, extra equipment, armor abilities, and special weapons, are located on the map and must be fought for.
Halo 3 was the last pure arena style shooter that was popular. Return to that format and you have another winner.
Armor abilities could work, but they simply must be map pickups. When you create loadouts you create imbalance of gameplay from the beginning of every map. This system works in many shooters (COD, Battlefield, TF2, etc.), but Halo needs to be able to differentiate itself from the sea of modern warfare clones.
> Halo, without a doubt, needs saving.

I cannot wait until idiots like you drive us back to BR’s only. No thanks, please for the love of christ do not do that again to Halo.
Halo Reach is one of my favorite multiplayer games released recently. Hell the only competition it has is Halo 2 in my book.
Halo 3 was a game of nothing but BR’s. The game was fine until a month in the only gun you spawned with was BR’s. I want variety. Team BR’s can go eff itself.
I don’t know about saving Halo but I would love to see a better progression system. The Cr system from Halo:Reach just didn’t do it for me. I am also not convinced simply going back to a 1-50 system is the answer either.

Not so sure why everyone has no confidence in Halo 4. I am personally very excited to see what the game is going to be like. Nothing is perfect and neither is Halo, and it never will be. Nevertheless, it is my favorite series of all time. Instead of complaining about what should and shouldn’t be in Halo 4, we should actually let the makers decide what new things it should bring instead of trying to make it exactly like all of the previous games.
Keep the BR Halo 2 and 3 were the best of the series, dedicated servers, more players, bigger maps with more vehicles but still have small maps for competitive play, bring back equipment, more guns, no AAs they sucked. Just develop from Halo 3 since it takes place after and was the best one. Also story has too be great have better voice actors reach voice actors sucked -Yoink-, no bosses that isn’t halo like even though two games had them.
there alright but its not real if they can take 1000 shots without dying and i dont like the kind where you can only kill them when they do something specific like open their mouth like in gears of war thank god halo wasnt like that. Not saying Gears was a bad game.
They don’t need to “fix” Halo. They just need to not make the same mistakes they did in Reach and go back to how it was in the original trilogy (including ODST).
Arena shooters are out and military shooters are in. I can see 343 doing some conforming, tbh. I’m jumping ship now. I may come back aboard if I’m wrong.
Halo 4 should stick to the golden triangle (weapon, grenade and melee) and add new things that doesnt mess with the golden triangle.
Equipment didnt mess with the golden triangle, but having starting equipment that has unlimited use(armor abilities) messed with the golden triangle.
And the default movement speed should be as fast or faster than the sprint speed from Reach.
More customization options for custom games should be in Halo 4.
