I made this video to see what everyone thinks 343 should do to improve the game, I’m actually curious to see what do people want to see changed in the sandbox?
Ask instead what they managed to do good, that list is shorter
(No, i’m not a Bungie-fanatic)
- Make CQC- weapons (like the AR or SMG) actually be useful in CQC-senarios.
- Introduce the Halo 5 Thruster, it is useful, and doesn’t feel like a cheap strategy to employ (Looking at you Spartan-charge!).
*Make the crouching mechanics more fluid, in Halo 4 and earlier (to my knowledge at least) it wasn’t possible to strafe to the side AND crouch at the same time (or maybe that was just my controller being wonky).
Major things they should improve:
*Aiming. It is inconsistent, and it is REALLY annoying (It changes from game to game).
*Matchmaking (whatever algorithm they use for tracking peoples MMR for “fair” and “consistent” match-ups needs to be redone. It is NOT working.)
*Halo 5 servers. I do not like shooting people, with my cross-hair on them, while the server interprets my cross-hair as being elsewhere. Meaning the hit does not register. I have clips of it, and I do NOT enjoy it.
Start fixing those major, game-breaking issues, and then we can have this conversation again. There is lots more room for improvement. LOTS MORE I TELL YA!!
Just a visually pleasing art style, Halo is Halo unique. Not like every other scifi shooter which is what halo has been since 4, but Wars 2 looks very nice. I just wish the forerunner structures were a bit less complex and more mysterious, it just looks like you average alien junk right now.
They are doing A LOT right though, it is my favorite halo since H3
Little things that would make a BIG difference!
It needs to return to the original art style. I like 343 for a lot of their changes and fresh ideas, but the new art direction was a hideously bad idea. It alienated passionate fans and made Halo unrecognisable to the masses.
It also needs to have FUN. This is paramount. Halo 5 has been all about the professional tournaments and a story routed far more in reality. It needs to be that fun culture piece that it used to be. While I liked Halo 4’s story, there were times where I was thinking “This is depressing, all the other Halo games were hectic, colourful and fantastical”. It feels altogether far too serious, and it just lacks that Halo feel.
