I personally was a Bumper Jumper in Reach because of the advantage i felt like jumping and shooting gave you. After I heard sprint will be permanent I was originally going to claw for a and x but now I’m starting to think the new best layout is either boxer or default… The only problem being with default is crouch jumping/ghandi hopping is going to be a hassle.

Probably default. I sometimes use Bumper Jumper if I’m not doing so well but I played default for so long before I decided to switch layouts that it is almost second nature.
I set my profile to Recon when I played it earlier at the Eurogamer Expo (yes, I was there too late for Frank’s presentation, though, caught the stream), and it played like a dream. Sprint was surprisingly easy to use on X, just tap it and then just play like you’re sprinting in Reach with Recon.
What I didn’t like was changing the grenades on the d-pad. That was awkward. Hopefully I’ll get used to it.
It depends on what actions you put a higher priority on. I don’t claw, and in Halo 4 I want to be able to use any armor abilities. I prioritize them higher than jumping now. Bumper Jumper worked best in Halo 3 with less actions.
