What bug or thing from the flights do you hope gets fixed for launch?

With all the flights there was a ton of feedback whether it was the performance on pc and base Xbox consoles, the player outlines, the aiming with controller, etc. I’m just wondering what everyone is hoping will be fixed at launch.

Personally, I’m hoping the aiming and performance get improved and fixed. The aiming in the flight, especially with controller, felt just really off. I’m not sure whether it was the deadzones being weird or just aim assist being highly variable. I’m just hoping that gets fixed. And the performance on base Xbox consoles is something I hope gets improved, while I can understand 30 frames per second in the campaign. In multiplayer it can be a bit unfair with cross-play and its just really hard to aim with 30fps. I now have a Xbox Series S so I won’t have to worry about this but a lot of people still have the Xbox one s/x and I hope performance can get better for them. I’d also like to mention how in the first flight series s had a 120fps mode and was really smooth and it was gone in the second flight. Was that a bug? Even if at launch base Xbox consoles are still 30fps I really hope in the future they can try adding a 60fps mode for them even if it comes at a cost of fidelity.

The choppy performance and the absolutely terrible aiming / defautl input settings. I can’t remember the last time I had to tune and search so much to not make the aiming process suck so much.

It should feel good out of the box and only be tweaked a bit to personal preference like higher/lower sensitivity, dead zones and acceleration. The default from the flight felt unusable and I hope this was some kind of bug or related to the wonky performance.

aiming by far is the most important. No good FPS can have atrotious aiming.

Aside from that ability to mute that stupid Spartan chatter/AI is huge. Cringeworthy for streamers especially.

At first I thought the aiming had a huge issue with it. I ended up just adjusting my acceleration and sensitivity a couple times and it ended up feeling really good after a bit.

Tinkering did help a bit but if I remember correctly, there was a guy on Waypoint who set up an offline lobby and the performance and aiming felt better there.

I didn’t test it myself though but other players reported the same findings.

120 fps in 1440p in low settings on a $5,000 gaming PC is unacceptable. This must be optimized for PC in the next 30 days. Otherwise, hardcore gamers will move on quite quickly… probably much to the delight of console gamers.

I don’t know if it was necessarily a “bug”, but controller aim assist is my #1 concern for Infinite right now. There was a ton of feedback about this from both flights and not a word from 343. That’s a giant red flag right there. A smooth aiming experience is crucial to gameplay. It doesn’t matter how pretty the rest of the game is if they mess this up. They must fix this or I don’t see myself playing much multiplayer. Basically, H5 all over again.

I don’t think the cross input ranked and HCS is going to play out well. Players on both sides are going to complain that they have been shafted. And one group will probably come out on top as having the clear advantage. My money is on KBM players due to the slower TTK/less reliance on tracking, and the severely reduced magnetism and aim assist on controller. I guess we’ll see.

ranked won’t have crossplay by default, that being said it will impact HCS tourneys for sure.

Nope. They changed this within the last two weeks. There will now be ranked controller, ranked KBM, and ranked crossplay, which will probably end up being the “main” group.

I heard someone say they might have done it because of the complaints about aim assist by PC MCC players.

But that was just a theory

The No anim/No sound execution of some actions. (Like firing the skewer, and it doesn’t “fire” but it does)

@DJ_Argo8225 If that’s true they will never admit it. Many controller players, including myself, hate playing against m&k players because of the unfair advantage they have against us. If 343 are willing to create a horrible gameplay experience for controller users just to appease m&k users then that will take an already divisive issue and make it far worse.

Your assessment is wrong though.

They pretty much say that controller players are going against other controller players, and KBM players against KBM players… From what they said your choice will be whether or not you want input based matchmaking. Now this will do nothing for specific platforms (OG XB1 users in particular are screwed) but if you use controller on XB1 you’ll play against controller users on PC basically.

Edit: Obviously this is irrelevant for actual HCS tourney play, but that’s not impactful to regular players.

Ok, but a Champ rank in controller-only or KBM-only is like winning the JV state champion. You are opting out of the larger competitive pool that they made available. But I’m happy for you if that makes you feel better.

oh ok so you think controller and KBM are exactly the same balance and design wise and that if you just throw everyone together it’ll be like a Disney movie where everybody singing Kumbaya?

On one hand you say KBM players will have the advantage, then you insult people for playing against others with same inputs? Make up your mind.

This isn’t a real issue for me, I have more important matters to discuss. Same reason I don’t like arguing over aesthetics I don’t like arguing over things that don’t impact me directly.

I’m just telling it how it is. I too would prefer if they just kept KBM and controller separate.

But just like in sporting events, you can enter in your age and gender class (KBM or controller) and win within that specific category and go completely unnoticed. Or you could compete in and win in the open category (crossplay) against a much larger pool of tougher competition and actually earn recognition and feel a greater sense of accomplishment.

I would say the aim assist needs fixing, but at this point I feel like mouse players are so favoured in Infinite’s mp that I might just never use crossplay anyway.

I really want the AR’s effective range to be reduced. Hopefully there is a social BR mode, but if there isn’t I think I’ll get bored with the ranged automatic weapon gameplay pretty quickly.
